  1. I've had this 6 months now so decided it can get its own thread So I swapped my 82 l200 ute that I had done endless hours on back to the guy I bought it off for this beauty. A 1982 ex lancer gsl Originally 1.6 auto but has now got a big block 4g63 sohc 8 valve and 5 speed manual conversion. It had no wof or rego when I got it I put four new tyres on, replaced the fart cannon exhaust tip with a normal one and a few minor things it got a wof. And I daily drove the shit out of it

So i just got a wof and its now rego'd aswell, hopefully i will be getting new suspension for the front and rear within the next few weeks, opting for Mirage shocks in the rear and theres a guy who live near me who is willing to sell me Starion front suspension that has already been modified to suit an Ex. soon to be lower... Hopefully
  3. okay, so i am extremely new to this whole forum, and cars in general really I am in the process of researching about putting twin carbs onto my 4g32. ive been doing a fair bit over the last couple days about it, but have only just come across the fact that there are TWO kinds of 4g32, a saturn motor and another, which i cannot remember the name of... i assume a bunch of you would know. but what i am here for is.. can anybody tell, by looking at this photo(can get more/better ones tomorrow) what model 4g32 this is? I'm curious as i was looking into intake manifolds when i found out there were 2 kinds. Photo will be in my build thread.   4. Hi Everybody. Welcome to my first ever post on ANY forum so please excuse any mistakes I may make(hopefully none) I'll like to document my(very slow) build on my 1982 EX Mitsubishi Lancer I bought this car off my boss as a crashed, green stickered, no rego'd car they had left it to sit underneath a few trees at their house and I said time to give her up Scott(my boss' name) so he finally gave in and sold it to me. $800 later which i was happy with So hopefully it will end up how I invision and hopefully with a fair bit of help along the way from you lot Here is the car how I bought it.

PROJECT DISCUSSION: http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=10344&highlight= Thought i may as well do one of these things, but the progress will be slow. its a 1980 Mitsubishi EX Lancer GLS 1600cc 5 speed 104000ks imported from japan in 1989 and im the 3rd owner since then. was originaly owned by an old dude, then his relation. dont have really big plans for it: lower it a bit. put the wheels on, i want one of them tokyo tow link hanging things... maybe in distant future paint.... then maybe after that a 4G63 sigma engine + diff currently have done to it: Ramflow filter (actually done by snake ) bought wheels (konig rewinds 15x7) Pics:
  8. Heres my Lancer EX that my bro and I share.. Its pretty much exactly how it came out of the factory at the moment except I've put a Pioneer stereo and some 5-1/4" Kenwood speakers in the front doors which I have only just done a couple of days ago and we also have the same kind of speakers in the rear parcel tray which I put in quite a while ago along with the stereo. Dont have many pics right now so I'll post some of what I have and will get more up after the engine rebuild its been sitting, waiting 6+ months for Heres a pic of when I first got it: The stereo: Rear speakers: Heres a pic of the front door speakers which I have just done.. took me most of the day and had to do some grinding and door was falling apart and all sorts of things but I got them in eventually..

Hey all, i just joined this site as i have recently purchased a 78 lancer, i have also owned 3 KE30's so im pretty into my oldschools, anyways heres some info on my car, i bought it as you see it so all i will be doing is the interior as its pretty rooted, cracked dash and whatnot. 1978 Mitsubishi Lancer Colt 1600dohc (does anyone know if thats the original engine?) 5speed brand spankin pearl red paint 16" white deep dish rims lowered on jamex springs and 70mm blocks 2" exhaust with dumpy muffler basic sound install cd player and some 6" speakers Pics Still to come: Tints brand new black carpet black bucket seats repaired and retrimmed dash retrimmed and re padded rear seats and then pretty much make everything else black to match like the hood lining etc Thats about it for now if anyone knows any good website for info on these let me knmow, im having trouble finding info about them.   10. Hi all, bout time i posted what i've been fiddling with for the past 4 months or so. Its a 1980 ex lancer gsl 1600 auto, stripped and converted to 4g63 twin cam 5 speed, alas no turbo yet, but i'm going to build a new turbo motor when the N/A motor dies (will be soon, fuel in the oil and such like) anyhow.   11. started to work on the beast again now i've got some money so figured i better get around to this, a fair bit of the info has been up on the board already but it was before we had a project section. its running a starion engine (4G63BT sohc 8 valve) with a stock non intercooled TC05 turbo at present. (next mod will be front mount and TC06, both of which are sitting in the garage. planning on setting up the TC06 with TD05 14G internals if i can find one cheap enough) the gearbox, 2 piece driveshaft, loom, computer, front struts with vented calipers and disc brake rear end (non lsd but i'll fit one as soon as i can find a decently priced centre) are all out of an EX1800 turbo GSR lancer. the engine, gearbox and rear end cost me $750, the front struts a bottle of bourbon and the other stuff (including black GSR interior) came in a rust damaged GSR shell i picked up for 2 boxes of waikato i'm using starion engine mounts although stock EX ones will work once you've removed the locating pin. i've got a set of recaro's out of a pajero (i think, they came with my celica project) a momo race steering wheel and a cheap gearknob to tidy up the interior a little, still looks old but heaps better than the brown stock stuff. its got a bit of an issue with the fuel system (it gets plenty of fuel, its just not cert worthy at the moment) and the bump steer is pretty bad but i should have both of those sorted in the next month or so and hopefully by then i'll have the money saved to get it legal again. the suspension is compressed springs (3" and i wouldn't go that low next time) with early mirage shocks in the rear and i'll shorten the front struts when i get the time. its a bit of a bumpy ride but my integra was lower than this so i'm used to it. pics: from this: to this: and a pic of the interior: just picked up my brand new EX1800 taillights today which is part of the reason i'm motivated, got a new grill too, not sure if i'll use it yet. its different but not 100% sure if i like it better: i've got brand new headlights and one of the corner lights too, malaysian copies but as long as they line up i'm not worried. look heaps better than the dirty old scratched ones. its got a GFB boost tap in it now, plus i've got KYB's ordered for all 4 corners. got to sort my turbo out and buy a blow off valve and i should be sweet to get my front mount put on too. all i can think of for now cheers Matt Discuss: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/18977-rxtoys-81-lancer/?hl=%2Brxtoy+%2Blancer

Did have an EX 1800gsr turbo back in the days,but blew it up and sold it for $100 not knowing how rear all the bits were (LSD etc etc). This lancer was the average old 1200cc (1273 exact) 4sp.The most commen one you can get. Cruised around for a few months like that then decided i was actually gonna do somthing about it. Engine: 4g63 (2000cc) Twin makuni 32mm downdraft carbs, Ramflo filters 2 1/4" exhaust, 2 low restriction mufflers.No tip, just mild steel 8mm leads Galant radiator Electric radiator fan High flow thermistate and lots of other little things like that...... D50 5sp gearbox. Suspention: Front ventlated GSR brakes and struts, King springs all round.KYB high pressure shocks rear.Sigma 25mm swaybar. Exterior: Mint standard paint 14" Challanger Racing Rims. Removed side trim. Interior: Stripped carpet, no back seats. Tacho, oil pressure gauge. Half good sounds.(pioneer HD, 4" front speakers, 6 1/2" rears, 12"pioneer sub, 600w fusion amp,tuned sealed box) Removed sound deadning Future mods: Sigma Turbo disc rear and diff.LSD Coby extractors Deep dish 15' rims Oil cooler EX2000 front, and two tone bumpers. Do abit of head work.

It;s currently running a 1600 4G32; read slow heap of gay shit, and to top that shit off it's fucking automatic which is probably the worst thing that has ever happened to society. Probably making 50hp at the engine, seriously But anyway, here's the mods ENGINE 2"exhaust from standard manifold with gay rice city dytech dumper on the back scraping on judder bars Crap restrictive ram-flo 8mm Leads New Coil And that's it, oh I painted the cam cover orange. EXTERIOR Mint original paint, bright orange Rust free 15" multispoke wheels, don't really suit it 195/50 tyres all round Cut springs at front, but still captive, bout a 1.5" drop Reset leaves 100mm in the back, cut and sanded bumpstops to accomodate Oldschool banner Tidied up paint on trimmings etc INTERIOR New carpets Retrimmed door skins GT Apex seats XPLOD head unit, 52x4 mosfet 6.5" pods up front 12" Lanzar sub Tidied up trimmings FUTURE MODS as of 24th may 2005 This is the best bit It's currently in the shop getting a manual tranny, but after talking to a certain someone, I have decided to drop in a 4G63 from the old sigmas and such So 4G63 5 speed box, from something, possibly lancer, maybe sigma/galant 32/36 webber for short term with decent filter Twin sidedraughts Extractors Worked head 14" deep dish JDM style wheels, actually picking them up this week Custom springs from lovells for front New shocks, shortened all round Bare metal respray in silver with black pinstriping Bolt on flares...Bling bling Maybe change tail lights to skyline style, just to keep kyteler happy Externally mounted oil cooler Small aftermarket lip Very small aftermarket spoiler, like the escort ones Full retrim in black vinyl Decent stereo Think that's it for now Here's some pics And here's what I want it looking like, minus flares and paint
