  1. It's a giant pain in the ass, been there, done that, but wow, sure works. It's all the shaking and rolling and rocking to make sure it coats everything that sux. I suppose it might be easier with a smaller tank, mine's about 60l.
  2. So tiny update, new baby came along, haven't been out much, but did make it to Toyota Festival, pics from parade lap below. Getting a bit excited now, only a month or two till the exemption expires, and we get near summer, time to start looking at a bit of servicing and get her wof'd and reg'd!
  3. Oh I've never seen anyone check, but I just prefer not to. Also need to do some servicing before I take her out again anyway, and no time for that today.
  4. Celica's still on exemption, but might bring the little guy in the work car for a look around, if I can get away from the missus and baby.
  5. I saw this, presumably on it's way home, on Sunday. Was like, wow, what's that? Thought it was a trekka or something.
  6. I'll be there, been once before, and it's quite good. Hoping to make it for the first flying session. hopefully if the little guy holds out I might be able to stay for the second too.
  7. I'm definitely not gonna make it, but I hope y'all will say hi to Lenny (uza63) in his shorty version of my Celica!
  8. edit : this was last month's. So no way I'm gonna be going back in time to attend!
  9. Hi all, looking for a bit of local knowledge. I'm going down to Flock hill on Friday for a wedding over the weekend. We're heading down with a toddler and a baby, so we're gonna gap it from the airport straight to the destination. Can anyone advise any GOOD liquor stores on the way, preferrably with a good range of true craft beer. We can't detour much at all, so really looking for something on or very near highway 73....
  10. Are your tyres/rims wider than factory? Could that be exacerbating toe out on deceleration? I have no idea how one could calculate that likelihood. Also, are you able to run in FWD to eliminate rear drivetrain being an issue (I assume not.)
  11. I should be there, with my little guy AND the Celica this time.
  12. I looked at renting an apartment right next door once, years ago. /lingpost
  13. Go door mirrors, fender mirrors would look a bit weird, IMO. That said, some example pics might make me think otherwise.
  14. I thought was you I saw on the side of the motorway, in my rear view mirror. Bummer.
  15. Oh dear..... Tried to fit child seat on the back of the Celica today. Fail. Evidently oldschool non-retracting seat belts are shorter than modern day ones. Should have test-fitted during the week. Now I've got to get a seat belt extension, and no chance of that before next week, so looks like I'll be driving the work car in and parking outside the main area
  16. Wow, great meet, glad to get a final one in before the next few months of new baby chaos! Great turnout. No doubt I'll see some of y'all at Caff & Classics on Sunday, otherwise see you octoberish!
  17. "Hi, have you ever thought about letting Oldschool into your life?"
  18. Been a bit useless with updates.... Hpc'd stuff is on, but I'll have to get some pics of the engine bay.... Made it to the OS Leadfoot trip, which was awesome! But a bit hot, especially with non-operational AC, so now I have tints! And also got a car seat, so when new baby comes along I can take my 18 month old out in it!
  19. Fuck yes. Baby date is locked in for 30th ("elective" c-section) so barring an early labour I get one final OS meet in before the new baby chaos begins! Woot!
  20. I better be at this one, as it's unlikely I'll be able to make any for the first half of next year.
  21. Am happy to head a south side pre-meet, if I can figure out a suitable location. Open to suggestions..... Somewhere Manukau or East Tamaki?
  22. I'm out, see y'all for the Christmas edition!
  23. Oh that Mustang was certainly eye-catching... For all the wrong reasons!
