  1. I think a lot of people are in the same boat re having kids / life getting in the way of projects. Glad to see this is set to get some more attention! I've had my lancer over 10 years now, 3 kids a wedding and now some serious house renovations later its getting closer to where i want it
  2. Did find this from a guy on the toymods facebook page. Twin turbo version. No intercooler but apparently went very well and zero lag. With 9psi coming out of the turbos the supercharger would charge that up to 26psi via a switch for the pulley on the gearstick. Intake temp was a problem however.
  3. yes, i have seen that. It is literally the only thing i can find online about a supercharged turbo 1G haha. Not sure exactly how that set up operates. Ive seen a few 4agze turbo setup now so i have a vague idea of what to do. Mostly going to be trial and error i think.
  4. Brought myself a decent welder so now I'm finally teaching myself to weld! woo! This has pretty much been my first real go at fabricating metal stuff. So suffice to say i made some hella average intercooler piping then proceeded to cut it all up and make it again, pretty happy with how its looking now. (after a lot of grinding) I still don't know how well this whole endeavour will pan out so I'm holding my breath. Next stop is relocating the thermostat and all the water lines.... more over sized pictures to come
  5. anyone here know a thing or 2 about twincharging??

  7. Its been a long ass time since i've posted anything here! So whats been happening? had 3 kids which takes up about 99.9% of my spare time nowadays got married and with my 0.01% I turboed my EX Lancer! It went a bit like this. +t my na rvr engine (thats been mint for years) after collecting parts for ages. Evo injectors, evo ecu, tdo5, custom made manifold. Relocated the alternator. etc etc. Proceeded to drive car without the vacuum line to the wastegate because i couldnt find a T joiner at the time. Smashed number 1 rod through both sides of the block . Ripped out fucked engine Found a 90000km rvr engine at the wreckers Repainted the engine bay in ef falcon purple with big chunky holographic flake Replaced the swaybar with a gsr one and replaced all the bushes up front and fitted sigma lower control arms and painted everything gross colors S14 alloy radiator Got a sweet mmc grill, gsr tail lights and garnish out of Japan.
  8. this is a very slow reply but i changed the driveshaft because the original one was too long
  9. I done some drifting. Shit it was good fun.
  10. Cheers! It's taken long enough though! Just over a year since I got it haha
  11. i got a warrant!!!! its taken a damn while but Its been a long time between updates, reason being nothing much has happened while i've been waiting for my bonnet to be repaired. All that was needed for the wof was brake pads and bonnet rust fixed. After having this sit for so long with no bonnet (months) while it was getting fixed several average things happened to this seemingly cursed wag 1 - one day after moving around in my driveway the water pump decided its had enough of life and split its seal and subsequently drops half the water on the ground. Lame. Luckily i kept the new one that was on the other 1geu i replaced with this engine. 2 - Apparently spark plug threads aren't water tight when rain water sits on them for extended periods of time..... must have been pretty close to fucking itself because when i tried to start it one day it locked up solid! oops! with that shit all sorted it was time to put my sexy rust free bonnet on and get a warrant. Then upon returning home from said warrant the engine started loosing a substantial amount of power which was strange after it ran so well untill then. Had normal power for about 3-4 seconds after i buried the accelerator and then died down to almost nothing until i bcaked the throttle to about 1/4 . I decided this was probably another fuel blockage .... boy was i right Might be time to clean the tank out! And that's where I'm at right now. Must be time to lower it finally
  12. Time to sort out the diff as one wheeling is getting old fast! A while ago i brought this F series Altezza torsen diff and now that a motorkahana is coming up i decided to do something about putting it in my car (4 days before hand) All looks pretty good and it all fits in nicely but to set the backlash etc the whole thing will need to come out of the car to get done properly. Now i don't have time for such endeavours as that so i did what any good car enthusiast would do and welded the current diff the fuck up. So with that back in it was time for some of this Car went really well and the only issues i had were chronic under steer due to almost positive camber in the front still. Need to chop/roll my front guards! it only got hot one time too because i forgot to turn the fan on...oops Here is a video of my least uncoordinated run.

  14. Thanks for the replys guys. I wont be missing out on the event,I was planning on doing it in my lancer anyway. I just had a last minute thought (as always) about putting this diff in the gx and using that. And if it's worth the bother to spend some evenings on it before the weekend. If it doesn't work out then I'll just use my lancer. I'll give it a go I think
  15. Have got a torsen from an altezza that I want to put into my gx61. Can anyone tell me if anything needs modified etc? Or will it bolt straight in if I change the crown wheel off the open head? I want to use the car for a motorkahana in the weekend so I don't really want to pull it all apart if its not going to be real straight forward. Thanks!
  16. if you have a 1 piece drive shaft from an ex that would probably work too.The l200 one was just the first thing i came across
  17. After all the excitement of Toyota fest i came home with an all new enthusiasm for making this car better. So with a four day weekend wherein i have 2 days free i decided i should make this 1GGZE thing happen. So i did this... If you have ever attempted to install an engine on your own using a forklift you will know this was a real cunt of an asshole of a job. Removing the engine was easy but putting the other one in and trying to tweak it ever so slightly to get the gearbox to line up with the clutch etc was a god dam nightmare and there were many swear words. But hey! how rewarding right? Amazingly everything bolted straight up and all lined up beautifully! Swapped the clutch and flywheel over, the fuel lines with the fuel filter bolted up with some minor tweaking. The only things I've really had to modify are the heater hoses and radiator hoses which were pretty easy. They are located in basically the same place as on the other engine so I've just had to make them a little longer or a little shorter. I'm not real happy with the radiator hoses but they will do for now. (not bad for shit i had laying around) Now just the wiring to take care of! ....... lame!
