  1. Thanks andy, It took quite a bit of work to get it there. These are narrower than VE up so it's a tight fit. You're a hard act to follow Bart.
  2. Thanks. They are race tech blanks with the tops cut off and re covered in red vinyl. I didn't have much fore thought though and brought small ones so they're a little tight now. Seat whore?
  3. Sweet cheers. What happened to your one?
  4. This has been sitting in my shed since August 2011, it's time to get it useable. First off I want it to run on LPG. Second is to sort out it's overheating issues. Third if I can afford it is a LSD centre. So this is what I have: 425 Impco gas carb, model E converter and the throttle plates off a 600 cfm Holley carb. The Gas carb bolts straight onto the Holley throttle plates. It all clears the under side of the bonnet too which I am very pleased about. I have this tank too, It's good and big it has separate valve locations which is good for flow. The garage got full of smoke at one stage too. Discuss viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25095
  5. Yeah, it's the usual suspects almost every time.
  6. What time do you think you will be at burgers and beers Leppa?
  7. Was it better, worse or the same with the smaller jets?
  8. Try backing off your jet sizes a couple. If it runs and idles mint even when it's cold and the plugs are fouling suggests it's to ritch. Make sure the plugs are all clean/new before you try it again or you won't get a true result. Or has it backfired and burst a power valve and started sucking fuel through it?
  9. Pfft. That's the child raising eqivalent of my mates got a rotary/30det/etc See you cunts on Saturday or Sunday.
  10. Top news. Gear banged it round the block yet?
  11. Buy a coil designed for use with a ballast resistor. It's a 6v coil that relys on the ballast resistor when it's used on a 12v system. Sorry I haven't read all this topic so I couldn't say for sure. The new coil you have is for a magneto ignition, you could use it but I don't know what voltage the magneto generates, if it's much higher than 6-7v then that coil won't make much spark off your C90 battery. You do need a condenser on the negative side of the coil with the points. It works like a damper as the points open the spark will jump across the points as they open without one. http://science.howstuffworks.com/question375.htm http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/a/aa052502a.
  12. Ok. That's what I thought. Contact the people who sold you the one wire coil and tell them to give your money back, the one they have supplied is for a magneto ignition. Go down to your work and buy a 6v coil (for a balast ignition) one of those little GT40 style ones should fit in the side cover. Wire it up without a balast resistor B+ to the coil + and coil- to the condeaser and points. The condenser has to be earthed too. If your points have gap/clean contact you should have spark. Also thanks for the discription of the bridge rectifier. The lighting will all be DC so once those diodes are the special way you will be all good. Failing that you can buy a rectifier for not very much.
  13. Hey Fliboi what is it that you are trying to do? I'm guessing that you want to use a C90 motor and ignition in a C50 scooter with a C50 loom?
  14. How long has the radiator dilema been going Craig?
  15. No. None. I have had a heap of other projects on the go. I am still looking out for stuff for it and so on though. I'll get back to it soon.
  16. Hi everyone. Is anyone able to pick up a bike frame from Upper Hutt and send it to me in ChCh? Thanks.
  17. Looks very good, that shock mount is like the Milton ones I think. What's next on the list?
  18. Cycle Trading on Bath Street Christchurch. I think they have 32/36/40 hole steel chrome rims in stock.
  19. I am disinclined to spill to someone so rude. $45. "Snigger"
  20. Unless you know where to get OS wide rims for $45. Yeah that's right $45!
