So I have one of the new Jimnys and when lifted they require the lower crossmember to be dropped to stop the driveshaft rubbing during droop etc. theres 2 different methods ether a spacer or a drop crossmember Am i correct in saying ether of these options would require cert?

Did you check if the impedance was the same as I was under the impression they were different between the 2 generations of seats. -
Just be aware a bunch of the trims and stuff are marginally different from the povo spec ones including all the fixing bungs etc are different sizes.

You can now get an adapter to run the more modern ve pedals out of aussie, I run a 6l 92mm tb on my 5.7 with an xlink module out of Canada and haven't had any issues after it was tuned. -
alternatively see if any of the wellington / hutt ones have any and i can courier them up for you

@zach_munce and @Muncie fyi supercheap has 6$ sets of bosch ignition leads on clearance at the moment if your local branch has any! I got 2 sets of LS ones for 10.82 on my trade card!

I run one on my car, they come up every now and then on trademe try G&M auto spares in Te Awamutu or Admirals autos in Auckland.

Probably because once the battery goes flat you have to get an entire new remote as the battery is soldered in.

They work well once adjusted for a small period of time, the shoes are a pain in the ass to get on and off. And the adjuster can fit in backwards and half work as I discovered when I put one in backwards and you will get limited holding ability and it will still adjust manually. I spent way too long working out why it would kind of hold one side but not enough to torque up the wheel nuts!

I honestly despise the handbrake setup I spent so long messing with mine after doing big brakes.
