This arrived today. Very exciting. One week from order on Ali, so fast!

We will get in a reccy drive before hand, but most of the roads are known, if not by me, then by @Itchybear, so yeah should be sweet. Its been a few years since I did the old Whanga road, so we will check that out too and see: a) how long it takes and b) Can it be done on a YB125 It might be that it just adds too much to the day, especially where there is no fuel. But we will check it out, cos it would be fucking ace.

Here's the one I sketched up: Day 1 - New Plymouth to Te Kuiti 241km Day 2 - Waitomo Loop 234km Day 3 - Te Kuiti Return 230km I was thinking Te kuiti for accomodation as Pio Pio has next door to nothing.

A while back I sketched up a 3-day ride based from New Plymouth and heading loosely via the forgotten world to waitomo, a lap of the waitomo region, and back via Waitaanga/Uruti region. I'll revisit my maps and post it up here if anyone is interested in that as well.

I've got some gopro footage. I'll try and pull together some clips one day if I get half a minute spare.
