  1. No idea to be honest, there are so many I loose count. There'd be an E30 trainspotter somewhere who'd be able to tell ya though.
  2. These things still handle well with a light (ally block) six in 'em. It's the rear you gotta watch out for ha. Looks like a good base though, and early girl so bonus there also.
  3. 100 types of awesome. Real men smoke Eagers!
  4. So, I may, or may not, have driven this thing from Hville to Silverdale the other day. And it may, or may not, be something of a hoot to drive. Noisy (no sound deadning), smelly, bumpy (she must be pretty light, it's been some work getting the height down) and a bit twitchy (needs a wheel alignment). All systems work! Plenty more fettling to do but these things are never really finished I guess.
  5. Heh. I used to have a 308 HZ ute RTS thingy. It was surprising good thing. One of those cars you wish you never sold but, like any good Aussie, it sure enjoyed a drink. Good luck!
  6. Some decent pics a mate took at a recent beer session Otherwise nothing to update, which is a shame. So close yet so far.
  7. Sic's in Melbourne last I heard. Also, WTF North Shore? Anyway, Sweeeet Vette. Best model IMO.
  8. Yeah, something missing from the rear. Not sure what it is yet, will ponder it further. The big things it needs to drive are cooling system, suspension, tyres and other smaller things. Getting close but still not likely till Nov-Dec.
  9. Was a bit bummed with it. Anyway, was a nice day today, so thought I'd wash some of the pine pollen off that gathers this time of year. Cursed stuff. Dropped it on its wheels, towed it outside, washed it. Feel betterer. Aaaannd threw a battery in it to test some stuff. Decided to check out the fuel pump to see if I could find a reason why it wasn't triggering and no earth! Fixed that. Springs into life. Fuck it. Plug the missing coolant sensor in, throw some gas in it. Fuel pump works, builds pressure and stops just like it's supposed to. Flick key to start. Raaaaaa. Fucking stoked. Idles smooth, revs nicely, sounds crisp (through no exhaust ha). Win.
  10. Done They looked shit in chrome, cut the front and back of the car in half.
  11. And Now take 'em to the platers and see how hard he laughs at them.
  12. There's not really 'easy' power to be had from an m20. You can remove the trapdoor air sensor, fit a cam/headers ect but by the time you've been through all that and had it tuned you might as well have fitted a m50/52. They can be taken out to 3.1ltrs (all the later m5x cranks can be made to work),head worked and all the usual's but it's all quite spendy. Turbo's a good option but again spendy for something reliable. Easiest, best bang for buck is probably a m50 2.5 ltr.
  13. Surely it wouldnt go any worse than a 2.5? Im keeping an eye out for a newer engine aswell so if one comes up ill grab that instead, trying to do this as cheap as possible, and the stroker seems cheap for abit of extra power You're right! It's no worse than a 2.5. But that little bit of power really is a _little_ bit of power.
  14. My humble opinion....2.7 stroker is waste of time.
  15. It is indead. And still has a fair way to go before it's even close. Fuck me it is slow work.
  16. Decided this looked like sh*t. So cut grind weld grind hammer file some more and Reckon I might've got it.
  17. Some random shots of stuff I've been mucking around with.
  18. Seriously cool. I'd be tempted to leave the six in it. Some nice detailing, couple of carbs ect.
