  2. yeah someone had to or would have been lost to rust... was he rikki's flatmate? id love to know if it was him that did the heaps of shitty rust coverups and painted it.... o and who welded( badly tacked ) sheetmetal over the origional rusty floor pan..

  8. Sill ready for paint, going to spray it at a mates new shop (silverstream panel) going to talk to him about OS hookup/ deals for OS guys... my mate Shaun and his brother Scott bought it around a year ago , was a failing business and is cranking again... he is being a GC and letting me use his booth and gear for me to spray it... Also lately ive rebuilt brake callipers and have a pedal again , if its not raining this evening ill get my first drive in on new wheels its a good day!!!
  9. neeeerrrrrrereerrrrrgh GZZzzzZZzzzzzzzzz
  10. sill all filled, sanded and ready to paint so ive decided to make a 500mm long cut and make the front match up nicer...pics to follow
  11. its not that great , had a wee problem with fitting the guard, going to be a mission to fix fuck up... but i can live with it for now , the repair is great until the guard is on , then wah wah. sill is a few mm to long and guard touches where it shouldnt, when i bolt in the bottom it slightly bows the guard out and makes a gap between sill and guard lines look terrible... never mind. thanks seedy albert , j b and i managed to wrestle the engine mounts in with a jack and little drama but thanks.
  12. Yea although I've got a pretty sweet deal for them in at the mo apparently so....
  13. Lunch times effort, 1 x hardened steel shackel stud...
  14. yeah ive seen this done before , will see how much rub once together at current lowness and re assess if i can do it after , still havent driven it on the new wheels/tyres but im sure there is room for more low/ always room for more low
  15. Buy now! cut out the middle man and save SAVE SAVE!!!
  16. this weekend i put in new engine mounts (thanks JB for being my wingman), then removed leaves for refresh , have some broken shit to repair on 1 shackle and all leaf spaces to replace. lets not forget black paint for that new look...
  17. in the car left to do? well there is a floor pan replacement on the cards for next winter , and under the cowel where the heater box fits up into a 150mm hole its had a peice of pvc pip gooed in 1 side and a bottomless bucket gooed in the other...so that - but the other sill is ok (from the outside) once if done all that ill be hopefully running out of rust .. hopefully
