  1. Hey Mate , any chance you know the model of the itg filter? internal size? Gotta find one to fit over my injection kit.

    Gilmer Drive

From my experience , the rotary ones are overdone and kill alternators due to it. Used to pull the old motor to 10k that would have the alternator doing in excess of 13k rpm / Water pump doing over 8k rpm. When you look at sizing versus the standard pulleys can see how overcooked they are , New underdriven pulleys are v belt and will see alternator under 8k / WP maybe 5k prm at full noise. Was cool for crusing around and nothing like that noise....Maybe trade again one day if i can find one of the old prototype 20mm sets.
  3. It looks like a nice unit , Interested to see where you are mounting it in the car. Probably better to go the other way it mine and split the power closer to the front of the car i think with a fuse at the back etc , havent done anything to this level before so watching closely.
  4. Nice work , watching intently as have to undertake the same on one of my cars. (Because no one likes 50 year old wiring) Power distribution block looks like a nice bit of kit , where did you source?
  5. Nice work there mate , Looks really good. Where do you hide all the extra toyota parts..... (found a shaft for a gearbox buried in the lawn when digging my retaining wall posts on the weekend , graveyard backfill)

I’d have to ask the man that owns them , haven’t seen him around here.

Can you see those 3x pictures? From another rotor deviant........
  8. Was planning on sleeving and excessive spot welding, that way i get around a whole section of shaft being heat affected. have a set made when they fail
  9. Yip Lukes one , we went to tech together a few years ago. converted to r200 but its bloody massive.........slowly edging closer every week
  10. Nice car , funny how you can never have just one old car Interested in the R180 conversion is it the same mounting points on the front of the diff? moustache bar? Mine has r200 mounted / comanion flanges changed / CVs etc , I just havent done the axles yet...............have been considering going smaller nugget actually Going to get creative with the welder and see how the axles go anyway
  11. Bloody nice job Did you end up pressure testing that tank for leaks?
  12. Hooks up alright, Did you run it on the lingslongs you normally rock?
  13. 13.7 @ 102mph Fair honkin in a hilux.....
  14. Was at taupo paintes for 18 months pulled it out and they went bankrupt , Sat in the shed for another year while the bank account recovered. Now in whaakatane and has been there for 6 months.........................however painted the door jams, its getting there but basically 3.5 years to paint it. Thinking I might buy something else now ( it might never get finished)
  15. Because of the ploom......... 5 valves per cylinder = more leaks What are yoy doing here, You should be bidding on 490kw xr6t on trademe.....
  16. Not 100% sure..............Stillway has it in safe keeping. Havent got my car back from the painters yet , hopefully sometime through Christmas don't really know............. but need to sort out wiring department next , as ripped it all out...........................Go switch and Stop switch is all I need.
  17. Noice........give you some legs when passing all those slow 1600cc cars on the ktown straights..................if you can see through the oil cloud. hoping for the same numbers with my sr20 but I have no airflow meter an already swapped the throttle body in the name of making the 300hp mark
  18. I looked at this for about 4 years with my Datsun before going back to a silver...........I toyed with a pastel colour but I was never going to end up with something standard. I think if your building a resto go with something like the original colour / shades , However if its not so original go with something metallic. Not a red car fan , but god damn does an R100 look good in most shades of red. or black......
  19. Summer? Isn't summer almost over already I'm need to give the motor a quick refresh but looking at moving house again..................................till then a little car waits.
  20. Rx2 one has the 45 degree ramps in it so an aftermarket mazda unit , God damn are they fun with the brap pedal down. Funny how worth the same dollars as ten years ago Get those wheels widened up , rx4 seem to have big wheel arches
  21. Nice wagon would mind one myself. what sort of dollars do the lsd's fetch these days , I remember buying a second hand unit for around $800 nearly ten years ago.
  22. Work mate went well came 4th overall... All I did was change a few tyres and tip near 50 litres in the tank, pretty damn tame compared to you fellas Had a chance to look at it , new shell? But god damn was it cold up in them hills.
  23. Didn't catch you fellas this morning in the pits and didn't really think the arvo was a good time to talk racecars. Tuff day on the gravel
  24. Can pick up and store for you. Need to get down your way sometime as well , I have a engine block and diff head down that way.
  25. s1 and s2 are 4x110 s3 are 4x114 most likely had a strut and diff swap because the s3 has near a fwd offset. much easier to find s1 &s2 diff etc compared to a s3 setup ke20 is 4x110 as s well where as ke30 onwards is 4x114. Most will stay with the 4x110 pattern because it can be quite hard to change, down side is that 4x110 wheels fetch good dollars compared to the more common 4x114 pattern because of it.
