  1. g4 is miles ahead .. for speed if you use thehotkeys g1 takes ages ... comapartively ... but thats why we do fixed charges ... so it dont matter if you have a megasquirt a motec a microtech of a g4 link ... i dont give a shit ... you still pay the same base tune price and get the same level of basetune personally there all easy to tune ... some just take longer .. but not that much what you save in tuning time you loose in all the extra shit you now have to setup just my point of view... i may be wrong

  4. theres a fuck load to oil man, aditives and minerals etc, advertising my arse do you know how many different types/grades of 5w/30 there are? shit loads have you herd of diesel particale ( sp? ) filters and the special type/grade of oil you HAVE to use ( come out on most tier 4/5 desiel engines and i would hope 90% of the mechinac's here should know about this type of thing ), that for a fact is not just an " oil marketing scheme i will garebtee this will be on most if not all car/ute/truck/tractor engines in the next two years..............its on most euro import deisels now now im rambaling oil is not just oil, i dont sit and sleep through a 3hr coarse about oil yearly cause i want to yeah anything comon rail or later we only use genuine shit on ... they have viscosity sensors now ... and if you get it wrong .... they just simply wont run as far as petrol oil i change the oil in my truck every 500km ... because its free workmate runs diesal oil in his teza .. but thats for the propertys of it to look after his welded cams ... he changes every 5000km .. ts always clean .. and the car makes over 250rwkw ..... and he runs a stinky linky

  11. Yeah, fair call... and it's your comments that planted the seeds in my mind. Still, it's no big loss. I can sell the emerald for most of what it cost me, will get a Link as soon as funds permit (which will be a few weeks). I've a couple of questions I've posed to Link Tech support to see if the Xtreme will work with my existing hardware... if that all comes back positive it's full steam ahead. what were the questions may i ask .... link are very good with some things....not so good with intergratation oh and welcome to the dark side ... tell link wayne from cartune hamilton sent you link comes under a few different names ray hall turbo chargers sells a Ipec ECU ... and that is a g4 sold under licence ... and they sell dam well...hence the price hike .. the cant keep up with the demand .. i have a storm and a extreme on the shelf if they are short

    Coils

    old coil was fucked ... prolly find your blowing out spark .. or you replaced a fucked coil lead when you changed the coil at the same time ballist isnt to keep it at 12v there a voltage reducer .. not a stabliser perhaps your old coil was suppost to have a rsister as well.. and the long term overvoltage is what cooked it and killed it

  17. is that including him modifying the cam wheels ?? if i remember rightly they need to be modded to limit movement and stop the valves getting mashed on a side note .. just did my highest hp tune today to date .. 283rwkw @ 1 bar

  20. there arse to put back togethier also .. vvti soliniods also feed oil to front cam bearing ... so if you do pull it out... make sure you fit the apropreatly drilled plug .... toda do cam pulliys for vvti removal... though vvti is good stuff and you dont wanna remove it would loan you my extreme .. but its waiting for my vvti uz to turn up and asimilate it
