Originally I was going to repower the niva with a fiat 2l that I got acouple of years ago but decided to sell it instead and repower a lada saloon instead with this
is a late 82 2l from a 131, has the following done to it
new valves and guides
new borgo pistons and rings 9.6 cr
all new bearings
new water pump
new 215mm clutch /pressure plate
new belt tensioner and pullys and cam gears
Ported and polished head
Marelli pointless ignition
125t manifold and re-manifactured DHLA40's with 34 chokes
All new leads and hoses
I am running the larger clutch etc and changed from the fiat cable to hydraulic
the design is from a friend that ran a fiat in a Niva.
the slave will be bleed first then attached to bellhousing- I had bleed my last lada slave cylinder like this because the nipple was too close to the housing so i know how easy it is to do.
At the moment i am just sorting out the exhaust before starting the swap
