  1. definately not the o-ring because there is oil inside the distributor no roll pin, took the rotor off but had no luck in taking off reluctor(cant remember what it called but the steel block that tells the ecu when it is at tdc etc) looks pressed on and pick up inside says DO NOT REMOVE
  2. i have a mx83 cressida and on the way home on friday it started missing under load. long story short: epic amounts of oil leaking from the distributor cap, pulled the dissy out to replace the seal and can't pull it apart. has anybody replaced the seal on these or is it a replace the whole thing. this thing is my daily and i live 17km from work

    Christ, where do these cunts come from I'm throwing a vote in for low boost high compression turbo set up. Failing that, some 20V tbs, a kpr spec exhaust manifold and a decent ecu. This is gonna be one to watch sounds like my plans for my lancer. fuck turbos
  4. don't have space or transport for more cars. already got 2 in neighbors paddock (not lancers though )
  5. the haynes manual has a good wiring diagram in it and heaps of other useful crap. the gregorys manual has all the wiring on 1 page ftl. i bought both for my lancer

  7. the 4g63 in my lancer had points. found a magnetic one that needs a rebuild
  8. keen as whenever as long as it doent clash with speedway. also keen to sit in purpz getting towed through middle of town for lols edit: should be a weekend, more chance of cunts showing up/epic cruise
  9. the only 6g7x 2wd tritons i have seen are a few of the new shape ones and iv only seen 1 manual so gearboxes may not be cheap anyway. i drove alot of those tritons when i was at mitsi
  10. i hope not to use spacers, but they are on there currently so it sits alright if someone could measure their mounts as a comparison that would be cool what did you do to fix it? put a bit of pipe down by the mount on the cross member and bent it up (speedway car) motor only lasted 3 races anyway
  11. we had similar probmles when we put dylans old road car engine into 1 of the bosses dirt car escorts. apparently the cortina block is narrower

UPDATE time. i have basically havn't done alot to the car for age so i got off my arse and: -stripped the front suspension -painted one side of it -ordered new ball joints and wheel bearings (grease shouldn't be brown and lumpy) Found that the struts had the inserts replaced before i got the car and all the bushes too i will post some more pics when i find my camera

    remove the torsion bar and rotate it 1 notch in the splines.did that on my old l300 worked mean

  19. yup everything, at least then you know the condition of everything. when the engine sits around for a while the seals in the water pump rust onto the shaft so as soon as you start it= leak
  20. i would probably just change all the fluids and filters as they probably have never been done.as for the injector pump about the only way to find out if it leaks is to run it. the water pump will probably be f@#$ed too
  21. iv got some 13x6 cheviot turbos in my shed that were on one of those that you can have cheap if u close enough
