Finally got around to working on my bike and packing my bag with spares , tools , wet weather gear and clothes

Workmates are doing a shakedown run after work today. We are fizzing for this ride.

@BLIZZO It all depends on what time we make it St Arnaud from Nelson in the morning. But we will miss Porika & Braeburn tracks if we do choose there to break off and head back down the Valley

There is possibly 5 of us who will be riding Nelson to St Arnaud with everyone else then splitting off and heading back up the Wairau Valley To renwick where we could enjoy a mid arva pint and chips before loading up and heading back to Chch if that floated your Boat. Who coming with you from Akl ?

Yeh Id say 4 - 6pm would be a safe ballpark

Just mounted a old CT90 Auxiliary fuel tank onto Aarons Modern CT125. Good to go ! I then bolted my Aux fuel tank and rear rack back onto my CT and will ride to new job next week to make sure everything still as it was then do a oil change and maybe change the throttle cable. Then repack the spares and tools into my frame mounted bags and Im good to go

Ive found some alternative routes in the sounds that we can enjoy. Just up here with the old man and going over maps that would ensure a lot of good fun with amazing scenery if we cant access other roads

Yeah Ive ridden it on my CT with 125 on the same trip with @BLIZZO. I was about 500km into the trip at that point. Had a stack of gear and a 5L jerry can on the back too

Fizzing for this one ! Will give the CT a quick service and should be sweet. We will crash in Renwick Thurs, Fri nights then will be keen to stay at same place as you guys in Nelson. Wonder if @moparmuppet is in town and up for a catch up

Yeah there is plenty of other options. Allthough not with as much punishing straight gravel roads but plenty of good options for sure

Yeah thats common knowledge that there is a season of acccess thru the Molesworth. Guess we will keep a eye on the roadworks
