  1. ^ how do they track its from him? different return address on it should sort it? surely customs cant take that much notice of every package thought they only sample a % of them
  2. yea I was thinking are you just going to drive it on the base tune? because if the base tune is for the stock manifold it will be way out, normal manifold has a linear fuel curve quads its more curved (bad explanation) just learnt that from the 4age and megasquirt days <= probably the least of your worries though
  3. yup shes been well covered http://www.totalvauxhall.co.uk/resources/totalvauxhall/TOV64.tech60697.pdf awesome article put up on here somewhere anyway gives you an idea of how to set it up
  4. its been discussed on here a little now and then brad put up an excellent article on the Yamaha R1 carbs which seem pretty awesome, I'll try find it. Also going with newer bike carbs is recommended they stay in tune better
  5. probably seen this boe but checked this sight out years ago went back the other day he lubs your m16 engine http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/pug16v.htm
  6. meh theres no hard and fast rule for each car but seen a few tezzas with 2.25 after market jappa zausts. MR2 is fine to run bigger as its shorter doesn't cool as much and the velocity will stay up. Meh really would need to dyno several to find out/who cares
  7. yea thats a mean setup you have, the pic you showed is the 26B thats in that link I put up which made the page to wide and gay. Yamaha has a two stage setup on there bikes now where instead of the trumpets retracting in length they pull 'in half' sort of to give a shorter trumpet its pretty cool. Wasnt saying to implement the veriable trumpet idea brad just saying its cool! and if I owned dyno it would be mean to setup for a hp or two!
  8. haha should look into getting them full variable instead of two stage, check the picks of the mazda lemans 26B uses what looks like a electric window motor and a cable and pulley system I would post the pics up but there huge! 787B stuff Would be a prick to setup I'd say plus would need countless hours on the dyno but dreams are free
  9. sweet as bro things are looking up should get it done on my lonesome maybe compressor cant keep up with the orbital which is gay
  10. I've gotta take the old matty B off it as it was cans with no prep at all my paint will just fall off. should get it done in time easy just have a sick day or something
  11. Hey any of you hamiltron dudes (mike) wanna help sand my car over some beers in the weekend? things are going slow by myself
  12. its at kihikihi theres a silvia round the back there light green colour dunno what they'd charge probably around $50, the guys are sweet once they know you but can be cunts/don't give a shit also might want to take someone with you to help move the car around thats on top of it you cant open the bonnet much
  13. thats not how the actual atlantic ones run though aye? the one i seen has a tiny ring gear so the motor can sit lower. obviously cant use that without the atlantic transaxle
  14. there is one at a wreckers here but I have no time to pull it for you but some other hams person may be able to, could be a last resort
  15. looking awesome dude, you and brad make me feel better when im getting overwhelmed by what I've got to do for nats
  16. mark = life saver, its all go now heater in the shed stz dam this cold weather!!!
  17. ^ yea cheers dude but it would die on the roof, the one I want is about $1000 which I could afford if nats wasn't coming up got to keep some cash for unexpected shit. I'll PM mark hopefully hes sweet
  18. oh na thought you meant borrow stz, cars in a semi ready state but its a bit over the top dragging it up there probably would hire one before it came to that by the time I pay for gas. Cheers though
  19. mark if hes keen that would be mint It wont be hard on it as only doing panel at a time only big section is roof. Otherwise I'm picking up two engines on Saturday morning in aucks if your serious boe. Really need to get some paint on this thing for nats and don't want to waste coin on cans when I've got paint. Wish my old compressor didn't die, its taking me awhile to save up for a decent one when I keep wasting coin on cars
  20. hey im ready to paint my car and had my mates compressor lined up but hes decided hes using it now. My cars primered in patches, bogged and I have paint but my mates kind of stuffed up my plans. I have a gun etc and it doesnt have to be to big as Im taking all the panels off. I know its a big ask but yea can compensate with cash or whatever
  21. thats gay no real time to get him to mod them aswell, so its just at car tune? I'll roll around I work next door sometimes
  22. the ae86 trd springs are mint as you can pick spring rates but you will have to cut them to go low they are pretty high, also ae86 shocks are still pretty long gt4, ae92 etc are way shorter
  23. haha yea bro thought you'd be using press bends whos making it, I fully need to check out those manifolds let me know when your working on it
  24. yea well 2.5 is going to help over stock but you cant say from just chucking that on that it was the ideal exhaust size. Some of the jap tuning companies sell 2.25 ones for the 3sge beams and it has 200 beans 2.5" = overkill. theres not set in concrete size pipe to use but you want to keep the heat/velocity up in a NA car
  25. shit yea 2.5" isway over the top. sequential injection has benifits but isnt a major issue under high revs. Most manufacturers used batch for years/still now
