Yea. Just drain it and pop new stuff in. Take it easy for a few ks until its using the new oil. Don't know why. Just seems like a good idea not to change oils "in flight"
Was intended to be a lazy car with the slushbox. 3rd gear the whole way on a journey. raced at taupo in dads one and only used seccond.
But i dont want it to be lazy. I like changing gear. They quite hapily rev to 6500. Read somewhere that stifer valve springs will go to 13000rpm Probably with loads of other work tho . And it only starts to sound good at 4000 .
It wont be my daily driver so fuel economy wont be a big issue. I just want good off the line performance.
Makes 440nm @ 2500rpm or something
Id use some better oil aye. Marine outboard oil is weird. Cos its biodegradable. Not too good for engines aparently. So i've heard anyway. Just use some cheap motorbike stuff
Usually sealed/closed. If they are open a bit they are rooted. Should be all dandy though. Specially at those ks. Not a disposable item. You would notice a lack of power if they weren't sealing anyway. But yea, have a look. Always fun taking shit apart
Nah. Wait until they break and fall into the crank case. Then you can have fun getting them out with an extended magnet thing. provided they are steel!
Shouldnt be getting tired at 20k though. If it runs. keep riding. unless it gets worse
Been trying to work out which gearbox would best be suited to the jag. Got all the ratios of all the boxes and get the following comes. This is calculated with my current mags and the 3.08:1 diff. Car weighs bout 1600kgs
Would lower ratio gearbox be better for accelerating? or would it not make much difference. Thinking of getting a w56 or w59 which have really low gearing. But same top gear as normal w55/57/58 boxes.
W57 is same as w58 except for top gear
Could be loose baffles etc.
You sure its coming from exhaust?
Could be reed valves a flappin. Fronte does that. Also could be random flap in the intake that helps control correct fuel air ratio. Fronte has one of them to. Both make flapping/clacky type sounds up high speed/rpms etc. Don't know if scooters have them. But thats what makes noises at load/speed on a fronte. And it is on the intake not the exhaust.
Probably carbon buildup in exhaust. Although shouldnt be after 20k
That the ss10 boe? Will have to mac down to welly this weekend in it. Stay at mine etc. U running 360 or 440?
Should terrorise courtney place hard 4 rofles
