  1. I agree but that's why I ask cos I don't want to try and bother paying what its actually worth if its a shitter. It is manual and these are IRS unlike lx80. Lowest kms ive come across, generally better condition. Tow bar already. Worth it to me as its ideal for my use.
  2. Hey all Blenheimites. There's a LX90 Toyota Mark II for sale on trademe at a dealer in blenheim (Cars-2-go 32 main street). Looks in pretty good order for one of these bad boys but I was wondering if anyone would be keen to jump in and make sure it ain't a dog before I get too carried away. This is the beast: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1128795452 Being stinky 2l-te I'd appreciate checking the condition of the coolant and oil. These are pretty bullet proof but like any diesel doesn't like getting hot. Chur in advance. I just realised this is probably in the wrong section. Apologies mods please move
  3. Yeah I have drill, impact driver, caulking gun, sabre saw, lamp and multi tool. There's a few tools they make now that I wouldn't mind. Also bought a ryobi pneumatic finish nailer recently which is great for the $200. Preferred to spend $400 on a compressor and the gun instead of just the 18v nailer.
  4. And the guys at the table next to us were way too fixated on watching me eat my steak when I finally got it like half an hour after everyone else. I donated the $20 to canteen
  5. I've got this one and I really like it, lasts forever on a 5ah battery and bonus of being 240v too. http://www.ryobi.co.nz/products/details/18v-one-hybrid-shoplight
  6. I think it's already been recommended but the AvE channel youtube has some fantastic tool reviews. Dude is merciless and buys new tools, takes them apart, gives you a pretty honest opinion and then puts them back together. Great humor too.
  7. Makita seem to have the biggest range of tools that can all use the same batteries. I don't have the need to spend tradesman dollars so I have gone with Ryobi one+ and find it excellent. Made by same company that makes Milwaukee. I have 2x 1.3ah batteries and 2x 5ah batteries, about 6 tools that use them. Probably all in for under $800.
  8. Or this model if you don't need such a big sucker. http://www.ingersollrandproducts.com/am-en/products/tools/Iqv-cordless-tools/iqv20/w5152 Guess it'd be nice to have other tools that use the batteries in which case I'd look at the makita too probably.
  9. Ingersoll rand 20v if you want top end. Amazed at the size of bolts that could crack. Just look at it:
  10. Kinda sounds like you're describing my carib. The important thing is looks good and makes the right noises.
  11. Should go to a truck workshop and offer to buy the service boys 4x doz or something and a bit of diesel for the cleaner to use their wash bay.
  12. Personally I'd just be stoked to have a fezza in the first instance.
  13. I always enjoyed mine looking fairly stock, aside from low; practically speaking, good fitting wheels and tyres. One of the best things about these is the fun of wolf in sheeps clothing, having naughty thoughts of a 2grfe powered one.
  14. Love my adubs, a true foamer will always spot a pre facelift though
  15. Nice! Agree this is a sweet car and Rhys is a thoroughly nice chap. I couldn't believe how fast he could make this go around manfield!
  16. I bought a china special CDI like that for a china special scooter and it was shithouse. Went back to stock CDI, all problems sorted. Might be worth a go if you have another CDI.
  17. I wasn't sure if the racks themselves swap over but I know the Quaife quick rack kit fits both the AW11 & the AE86.
  18. I am told one of the functions of slots/holes is the allow air/gas to escape from between the surfaces to maximise pad contact/coefficient of friction. When hot pad is being mashed they release gases which hold the pad off the surface. I could be wrong but it makes sense in my head. Fuck fully skimmed over Cletus saying this already.
