  3. Ok guys, Thought this could be a great idea for a Thread. Basically what makes a Bullit Proof Engine, and then we could make a list of such engines that meet those requirements. Perhaps like this: Main Bearing's amount should be 'Number Of Cylinder's + 1'.. Ie 4cyl Should have 5 Bearings. (a "Bullit proof" one anyway) Cheers,Chris

  7. Arent they Borg Warner Items?? CBF having a look at my own for any casting or plates Have been told they are similar to a Commodore / Sunbird diff (probably the 4cyl ones) , but most probably bullshit... Cheers,Chris
  8. I reckon you should swap the guards over with a pre '68, IMO the lights front and rear look soo much cooler.. Give it a single pipe, coby, Mild BOSO stz Edit, I remeber there was some Widened steelies FS on Trademe not so long ago, will try and find them.. Cheers,Chris

  10. I suspect he's getting the tires from england for his 'big' Rims, they are really low profile, and somwhat rather hard to come by over here... Cheers,Chris I know a few mini guys that quite often get them...
  11. Whats these 16x10's look like... Someone mention TM, they were the ones with the Ciggy packet "showing" the dish??? Cheers,Chris

    Fuel parts

A good racecar specialist shop should have them all, For road use you have to have the "tags" on the braided lines, if not they wont warrant it.. Cheers,Chris

  18. Hey you might be able to find out for me, seeing as they are dealing with wheels, and modifying them.. Is it possible to have those "Nascar D-Windows" in any stud pattern you want, ie Vauxhall viva or chevette..? Cheers,Chris
  19. Yea pretty much what I got, 305mm, from the lapped over part of the rim (where the center is welded to the outer) , the steel itself is around 3-4mm thick, so 311-313mm all up. Cheers,Chris Just using a tapemeasure...
  20. Mint little ute there man!! Keep it oldschool , no new style Exterior or interior parts!!! Cheers,Chris
  21. Got some Sigma Steelies from a derby car lying around beside the garage.. Cheers,Chris I'll have some lunch then have a look for you
  22. Those turbo motors can cause a fair amount of problems, being right high up there next to the bulkhead, melted wiring... Seen one down here, and it actually burnt the paint on the bonnet in the surrounding area... Cheers,Chris
  23. What other parts do you need boe? Will have to check the box for bits, think we have some 1 1/2" carbs compared with the 1 3/4" which I think you will have.. We have all sorts of random stuff, just yell out and tell me what you might want/need Cheers,Chris
  24. Diff is from a Gemini wagon, and the Chevette is a Hatch, why bother with the flywheel from the g200, why not just use the 1600?? Got a reasonably good supply of parts , 2 Chevettes, 1 Gemini Wagon, and Possibly 2 Piazza's... Hmm, I have just had a thought, the Chevette, was setup for all the Piazza stuff, the piazza diff had been modified to fit the chevette, everything was left unmolested on the Chevette, the only strange part I have is a Gearbox cross member, looks reasonalby well homemade, and It sure as hell doesnt fit the 1256 Gearbox.. Kinda hard to explain what it looks like, but the rubber on the bottom of the crossmember runs horizontally, and has a "Channel" with a hole in the middle, which I presume is for the Gearbox itself. Does that sound like it may be already made up for the Gemini/Piazza box? Cheers,Chris
