  1. So originally I bought the stoved 230 wags for the rear dickie seat. This required sawing the car in two, hauling it back to a mates workshop and getting it into the air alongside my 330 wagon to get the right fit for the dickie tray into the 330... We were just about in the act of cutting the green stoved 260c in half; when old mate Who was assisting me in chopping the bitch in two exclaimed “Why not make a half car camper!” the makita was put down and things quickly went the way of a half wagon/camper (half 230 would that make it a 115 260c?). these things have plenty of room, totally flat floor, makes sense, and would look the part behind my 330. if i’m lucky the one in Victoria is okish; then I might be also able to come away with one good wagon as well as a trailer, as well as sort out some parts for some other antipodean 230 wagon purveyors.
  2. Discussion thread here; ideas welcome. So things have snowballed. have sourced 4 H230 260c’s from different parts of the country in as many days. one is rust fcked badly. Three on the tree blue interior.8 seater. Second one is rusty plus hit a tree 6 years ago (rail twisted). Paddock special; dirty but pretty mint black interior 3 on the tree. 8 seater. 3rd one is so-so rust victim (so-so for a datsun is “oh no!” for other marques ) driven where it sits 5 years ago. 3 on the tree 8 seater blue interior. 4th was always going to be a pipe dream; was in WA (though mate in shipping can get cars to me at a good discount).the owner thinks it was worth a few k, and is going to get around to fixing one day et cetera et cetera. On top of all this it’s rust looked fkn ferocious and other WA rust hunters woulda been all over it. ended up cutting a deal on 3, one in rural nsw, one in rural victoria, one in the outskirts of Sydney. have a mate out near Bathurst where I can store them and to see if i can make one good one outta three basket cases.
  3. Anyone got one of these wooden knobs? Pm me if you do; came in late 70’s early 80’s crowns; mark 11’s etc
  4. Manual bits from this deluxe down in ChCh, it’s a MS110 sedan but obviously has had a smack in the front; has had a hardtop front put onto a sedans body LOL... need to get this manual stuff to Sydney; any one got suggestions?
  5. Also sorting out a w57 to manualise the bitch. Then suspension; front end conversion, chrome bumpers, respray in same blue. Photoshop to give an idea.
  6. Also swapped out the shitter wheel for a JDM Ms110/2 series 1 woodgrain wheel... way nicer to drive with and looks the ducks.. 0Then i’m ditching the tacho and round dials; going for the square American style cluster that i’ve grabbed ... 220k speedo wasn’t fooling anyone. 180k suitable. F**k the tach; it’s a Crown!
  7. Finally dragged this thing out... been busy and time to throw in the 6mge; will have to mod the headers to clear the steering box.
  8. I think i’ll need to get the 230’s tank and the spare wheel holder plus onviously cut the floor. The dickie seat basically sits in a tray that unbolts... here’s a pic i have of the underside of my wagon after the tank was removed for cleaning; the tank goes up against the rail with the 3 arms coming down.
  9. Car is in El Salvador; This is the first 330 i have seen with a rear dickie seat and i really want one; set up looks identical to the 230 dickie seat; wonder how hars it would be to put this into mine? I know where one is wrecking .... hmmm
  10. Thanks torton; yeah there’s a place in japan that refurbishes them and replaces them with a H4 bulb but it costs like $400 each light and then you’ve got shipping etc etc and then the reflector needs doing; prob not worth trying to fix?? How much were your lights to be done? And what’s the name of the place that did them?
  11. Ok so I’m going to put the 330 hardtop/ coupe / brougham front on the wagon.. have found a rotten brougham: but the light reflectors are rusty; they are a sealed beam... any idea on who could fix / recondition them?
  12. Thanks man.. the last owner had wrapped it with some lighter stuff than factory but stands out better than the factory colour. It’s also cheap stuff but will do for now prob will last a few years as it will always be garaged. i remember getting the auto 3M vinyl for my GX60 wagon over 10 years ago was super $$$ but is still like new.
