  2. Just got a mini off a mate for free, engine/front subframe is out of it. most parts there etc, bugger all rust, pretty original except the tiny tridents, will post some pics up on a better day. He's done a crap bog-job on it, so ill sand it right back and start again from scratch with some hammers this time, although there isnt a hell of alot of dents, pretty straight really Don't know much info on these lil things but i got it for free so can't complain, just need a brake master cylinder (i think thats all) Discussion Thread: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/19931-ke20-lorollas-mini/page-1?hl=clubman
  3. Cheers guys, fixed the prob, put the chain drive engines switch into the new engine, and its perfectly normal.. one from new engine looked a bit shoddy actually
  4. Cheers man, ill get the guage, and see how that goes, anyone know if a chain drive pump fits a belt drive engine?

  7. Yeah, i checked the oil first off =). I also thought about the switch being diff on the new engine, the old engine (chain drive 4g32) had the oil thing on the side of the block and this one (belt drive) is on the oil filter housing thing

Since ive put the new engine in the colt, the oil light comes on on the dash when at idle.. figuered it was just different engine. as when i'd tap the accel it would go out, drove about 40k's today, was in the shed tonight working on it.. then i noticed the oil light was bright when i turned it on. What could be the problem?.. seems to run fine and doesnt smoke or anything Edit: stays on even when revs are up, only started this tonight
  9. Yeah, is there another belt drive type manifold that will bolt to the exhaust system of the 16l?, or do i have to get it welded up?
  10. I got a belt drive 4g32 (out of a rwd lancer) to swap into the 16l... problem is the exhaust manifold is different, are there any belt drive manifolds that will bolt up to the standard 16l?, also the original manifold has square ports, new engine has round ones so i cant use that one
  11. Will the FWD versions of the 4g37 still mount into a 16L?
  12. Does anyone know the engines that bolt to the 4spd box from a 16l Colt. i.e straight swap, or any that need engine and gearbox, d/s etc Preferably 1600cc+
  13. Hey, Just wondering if i take my head to get planed (blew head gasket/warped) will they want all the stuff off it, cam/rockers etc? or can they plane it with all that still on there? Cheers
