Looks like you might need to buy it back and fix it up again.

Isn't that what @Bistro is doing?

I suppose they are building in a bit of triangulation to control side to side movement?
They don't have to be straight as there needs to be compliance in the bushings to allow wheel articulation.- 1

Build up. Lol.

Collected from the paint shop on Tuesday basically a closed door repaint in the stock colour, nothing fancy
Had a bit of reassembly to do, the bellflower pipes and the back seat and associated trim. Also had to find a bolt to fit one that went missing from the convertible top linkage (you can see the disconnected link in the photo above)
Might have to hit up @ajg193 to make me a proper one as it is a special shouldered design.
Looking it over the rear tyres looked a bit sad, so I pulled the wheels (which needs the tyres deflated) and got that sorted.WOF acquired today so have paid rego too. Just needs a bit of a clean up for the Beach Hop.

It's real good at keeping my shelf stuck to the ground.
I brought it home, stripped 50nyears of grease and nicotine off it, then cleaned it ready to paint. And that's as far as I got.
I moved it yesterday actually, so it's next on the painting list after this bike. Should have just used it as is
Yeah, cleaning up old machines is a mugs game in most cases.

Yeah, they should pay an extra tax for buying a Fiat.

Likely still cheaper to do an LS swap.

There is a lot of info online that might help identify where you need to shrink or stretch.
I like the allmetalshaping site as there are some very experienced people on there
e.g. first result off google

Kent at tinmantech, MP&C and John Buchtenkirch are all worth listening to (reading)- 1

I've done it a bit with an O/A torch, just heating a spot then cooling it with a damp rad, and also with a shrinking disk I made from something round and stainless on a sander/buffer thing. Not quite as flash as the one below though.
I've also seen a tutor get a hot spot using a car battery, some jumper leads and the carbon core from a D-cell battery.

What it means though is that on any particular day, 40% of the cars that you see on the road are not up to 'WOF Standard', so it's pretty hard to argue that 6 monthly or even yearly WOF's are 'keeping us safe' in any meaningful way.

Does anyone know the pass rates of wofs in general? Just say as a wof guy doing 10 wofs a day on any age car
Some stats from a couple of years ago said 40%, a lot are likely fairly BS (dud bulbs)
