  1. t50s spilt long ways and the bellhousing comes off and thanks to intial d there worth there weight in gold k50s have the bellhousing as part of the front gearbox section- doesnt come off only a k50 from a ae85 or a 3a dx will fit buy the time youve blown and reaplaced a few k50s you might as well of got a t50 to start off with im doin the 4age kp60 thing now to be honest i wouldnt do it again id go the ca18det or 3s-fe/gte way, wont cost bugger all more but youl have a beter set up my 2c
  2. i had to where the gearbox bolts to the x-member as there was a 5mm difference between the 2 holes and studs my lancer xmember was about 3times as wide as the sigma, maybe the lb serries chassis is different to the ex?
  3. allrighty just started on the lancer- 6 months after buying it lol its a 1200cc 79 buble shape looks like the old school logo the doner car its a 79 galant with a 4g52 (i think- yuky chain drive 2L) motor is a amg 4g63 first problem- lancer gearbox x-member mounting point needed slotting so the sigma 5spd will fit, easy fixed but it seems to sit foward bout 20mm second problem- sigma engine mounts dont bolt up to the amg motor im guessing rwd 4g63 mounts will do??? third problem- gear box wont sit properly, the front of it wont lift up as its fouling on the gearbox tunnel do i bash it up with a hammer, gind the casting seam off or am i doing something wrong? it used to be 4spd with the gearbox sitting in the correct possition id say the the gap between the gearbox and drive shaft should close. everthing mechanical bolts up ie gearbox motor backing plate starter, it just doesnt want to go into the lancer! please ignore the typing errors thanks for your time j
  4. hey Speedyrr with your gto how did you make up the radiator hose coming out of the back of the head? ive seen a few yuk 90 degree angled ones that im not too impressed with, got any pics of it? thanks
  5. hey guys im doin the 4g63 twin cam into my lancer cam sensors goin to be close to the fire wall few quick questions, is the gear box out of a 79 4g52 galant the same as a rwd sigma? an i got givin a l300 van with 4g63 surius, will this bolt up 2 the galant gearbox? i was thinkin of thrashin round with the 2L while im rebuilding/working the 2L dohc (the 1200cc of pure loose tappeted smokey gurnt just doesnt cut it) will the l300 diff center fit my diff housing?
  6. hey my lb lancers got leaf suspention do the ex's have coil springs? any way of bolting a independand rear en into mine? or will i have to make up mounts and weld them in? what would be the easyest way of making a stronger diff? any help will be greatly appreciated cheers jeremy
  7. im doin my lancer in my garage youve gotta spend time prepping get lots of primer and sum crap paint for a guide coat smover the car im primer then a quick splater of guide coat and sand it back till all the guide coat has gone for dents bash them out the best you can and bog em over painting cars is a real mission to do it semi properly uve gota strip evry thing off it and pop the windows out just workin on mine in weekends has taken like 2 months and im allmost finished prepping good luck
  8. wow sorry guys the pics are huge 1st time ive put pics on a site any way so far ive basicly got a complete rust free 79 lancer with a good 1200cc and 4spd with live plates that i payed $200 off a wrecker its stiped out and getting primered and painted the hottest colour ever...... blue print!!!!!! later palns include sigma 5spd na 4g63twin cam efi, kings up front, lowering blocks on its arse, maybe sigma breaks and diff depending on what will swap over. i hate the later lb tail lights so if any one has a set of the older lb tail lights with more crhome ill buy them or swap mine+ cash also after the full chrome bumper (mines got crappy plastic end caps) pm me if you can help thanks for looking
