  1. Lovely Italian styling.........please keep the L20B - cool engine and long term a better proposition than the temptation to repower. Look forward to more pics and story telling
  2. Cool - looks good from far........how about close up pics of the rust? Are you sure it’s bad enough to go full bore on the body. i have had my Datsun since 1997 and it’s always had rust......however tackling spots at a time is a good way to keep it on the road continuously......which is good for the mechanical bits. i know if I started a full resto it would be 10 years of heart ache! cool to have a PI - they are unique and a beautifully detailed design that has aged incredibly well.
  3. Love your new zorst - look forward to hearing it and comparing notes - especially since I have recently gone for the double stack too. Intrigued to hear the difference with twin pipes. Your car is awesome - such a find. Love the white and red too. Hopefully bump into you at a zclub event. Glenn
  4. Great to see the z in a sea of Americana at Kumeu! Loved it!
  5. Wow score - a NZ new gt - rare now and cool. I would love to have it. Well done for scoring one. Keep it!
  6. Perhaps get them blasted to get casting cleaned up.......then let them weather.
  7. Don't - nude alloy looks best....
  8. Build Thread Try Horopito motors for parts.....
  9. That is a time capsule - don't be in a hurry to mod it. Sometimes original stands out even more................it's taken a long time to bake to that state and if you treat it right it will just get better with time. There are a couple of these a Horopito motors in the central north island. Give them a call for parts.
  10. This shape is only getting better with age - especially it it kept clean simple with a bit of low. Keep the rat look! No spoilers! Just low and go. I want!
  11. I got personalised plates to reactivate the original plate for my 240z - you will get the white ones but you just use the originals........you are lucky to have them.
  12. I am a tragic when it comes to this stuff - I have some Nismo endcaps sitting in the garage but haven't fitted them as I like the clean lines of the stock shell. IMHO they won't match the style of body as it sits - you need a comparative kit in front of the wheels as well. Enjoy them as objects of automotive art for a bit longer before fitting......
  13. Great to see you guys there - overheard a couple of v8 guys making positive comments about the oldschool group of cars - nice work.
  14. Not many hidden surprises by the looks - epic stripping effort - nice work!
  15. Perfect - love the whole direction your build is taking. It is going to really pop when all done!
  16. These 2str 280zx's only get better with age - worth the grief to save IMHO. Check out rocky auto for engine inspiration. Power is one thing but think of the sound from a na cross flow rb26/30 hybrid with carbs or throttle body injection...........num num
  17. If I spent less time on here and more time in the garage I might make some progress too! Looking forward to seeing it on the road. Good work on new contract. Cheers GM
  18. Mmmmm Fresh - love the concept. Even the die hard v8 boys will be giving this bbq ribs and sushi fusion the thumbs up. Is there an overall look in mind.....rat rod would be cool. Keep up the good work we're watching and are psyched
