  1. And now thanks to the awesome boys at Vinny Fab. I now have an exhaust. Better pictures to come
  2. Soooooo. About 3 weeks ago. This happened.
  3. Us and a couple of mates going up to this as well. Weather isn't looking too flash at the moment though.
  4. It is so amazing what a big difference such a small thing can make to a car. new rubbers make it a different beast Also, still stoked to have a Mazda that you can get new parts for.
  5. So, 10 months on from the first wof, we have loved using the wee ute, a couple of things have been changed. We got the windows tinted, it's a very small cab and gets bloody hot, and most importantly the height has been changed, not low enough for me, but Rebekah loves to remind me it's her ute, not mine. She now has the bug, and in the next month or so we will be getting the interior sorted.
  6. Will be dragging it's poor old ass out of the shed tomorrow, so will have a play around. Cheers for all the advise guys. Kind of keen to keep this one as og as possible, so not likely to go chopping up the headlights on this one.
  7. Any recommended brands of bulbs.
  8. Reflectors are sweet, not that you would know it by the light output. Looks like new bulbs and relays it is.
  9. So a mate has us signed up to go to the Kaikoura hop this year, should be good, apart from the fact that the headlights on the commodore are absolute shit. Thanks to the random headlight shape, what options are there for an upgrade ? Not expecting greatness, but anything has to be better than factory. Options ?
  10. Sweet wee ute, looks the goods. Could be keen on the alloys if you were thinking of selling.
  11. whoo hooo. 1 wof = 1 happy wife.
  12. What happened to Ed ? Very quite from him of late, always enjoyed the updates of his fleet of cars. Still so keen on his rx7.
  13. Got the guard indicator lenses as well.
  14. So, some over fortnight parts from Japan. Turned old crappy to new shiney. It's so nice having a Mazda that you can order new parts for, and not have to sell your soul for.
  15. Becky thinks it looks better with the tonneau cover, I think it looks better without .
  16. So, a nice quite afternoon putting things back together. A lot more low and it should be sweet, wof first though.
  17. Wow ! You have dedication. To a good job. You don' want to move to Christchurch and be a sparky do you ? I could do with someone with an eye for detail and commiment to a top job. Please get your sparky to change that speaker point on the black wall to a black plate. My ocd is twitching just thinking about it. The Danish oil you are using, could I use it on a marine ply Ute deck ? It looks amazing on your rimu. Top job man your wife must be very appreciative. Wink, wink.
  18. Bye bye racing strip, rust and dents.
  19. Very cool man. Looks like a lot of fun. Shame to take out the cage, but I get it about the extra drama not being worth it. If you are thinking about selling those seats, let me know, could be interested
  20. Umm, 13 years waiting for me to put my rx2 back together, and never once nagging or bitching about it. ( well to me, that is ) I can understand her reluctance in letting me pull her ute apart.
  21. Thats a serious looking piece of kit. Someone put some love into that wee ute. Oh, and NO ! Was the answer when I showed Becky. Didn't even get to say anything. Haha.
  22. Shit. I'd really be in the dog box if I got anymore carried away with it. I keep giving her shit about bags, c notch, and rotary, and the looks I get are not good.
  23. We both were split on the stripe, but it had to go. Not our flavor, maybe if it was mazda blue. Ky, Becky would kill me if I sell her wheels, I would like them to be a bit wider but , it's not up to me . I'm already in a heap of trouble for going over board.
