  1. Agree with no flares - I don't have a good imagination so can't picture them 'looking right' if that makes sense.

The work you've done so far on the front guards looks good, and if the mega dished moojays can work with no flares then that gets my vote!

Oh shit, the mazda mob, that's a throwback

Yeh that's from last year, I basically just stole their idea and used the same location.  Pretty good venue for Tauranga/BOP and Waikato folk to get to.

Te poi looked awesome. Congrats to all that organised and went.

I like a good burnout as much as the next red blooded male, especially when its a rotary.  But do people get pulled hauled over the coals for skid videos? Plates and drivers are visible???

I once had car impounded from after kid took photo on mobile phone of me doing skids. ( pre smart phone days. )

Not sure about getting done for skids after the event.  I'm blurring out plates on a small youtooobe vid I'll be posting, but as going from above ^ it's probably not needed?

Maybe police don't care as much as they used to?  Or is based off how many complaints are received ... I dunno.

Legally I thought impounding a car after the skid was done (going off video or photo) would be difficult, as unless the image is clear, it could be tricky to prove who the driver was?

  4. I don't think NZ or Aus got Rx3 wagons, USA / Canada did, maybe Europe also?  But yeh, Savanna JDM spec is pretty awesome.

I think that car yard mis-timed the import of that by 6 months.  Had it landed in 2021 it would have sold quick.  It's been for sale a while, and IMO 70k seems really good for a GEN-U-WINE savanna wagon.  But it might not look that great in the flesh ... I dunno.

Surely if they introduced RUC's on all vehicles any taxes essentially become user pays? I liken it to councils wanting to move from flat rate for water charges into metered water charges.

Definitely should be a (better) weight/engine cc matrix for determining RUC rates for passenger cars.

Not quite user pays, still a big chunk of rates, and general taxation subsidy for roads ... but yeh, moves EV's in that general direction.

Agree with weight and/or cc bracketing for RUC or rego costs also.
