  1. That's my workmates Navara, he just got another cab for it last week. He had looked at swapping terrano body onto Nav chassis in the past, remember him saying it wasn't a major, but by no means a straight swap over.
  2. Jealous, always wanted a Mk V. Went straight to Trademe after looking at your thread, better get off the computer before I do something silly.
  3. What about adding rear camber adjustment? There are kits available for the MA61 celica that you should be able to adapt
  4. I've got a Kenwood single CD one you're welcome too, it's from a Jap Import, so uses a band expander, but that's attached to it
  5. Andy the TRD Race springs are not really designed for road use, and will require shorter shocks front & rear to remain captive & also shorter bumpstops. You used to be able to buy TRD Street springs, they were the right length for standard shocks, and lowered the car about 30mm all around. Also spring rates more suitable for everyday driving. However they now only sell the front springs, the rears are discontinued.
  6. Just cut it down. Or go to Toyota, they're about $3.50 each & should be available overnight from TNZ, lengths are different left & right one is 16mm & other is 18mm, no idea why.
  7. You mean the bolt on the bottom? Any fasteners supply shop should carry them, like EDL or Blacks fasteners. It's a M10, with a fine thread pitch (1.25). Can't remember the exact length, i want to say 20mm, but just match up the one you have. Edit. You'll probably find anything local will have a 17mm head instead of the 14mm head on the original bolt.
  8. Yeah should have said that Silver car/Blue interior is a JDM thing, NZ New cars were all over the place, even seen one with Brown & Tan but in full GT Apex trim, not the brown/red that is most common.
  9. Yeah Andy, just the 2 different grades of Hatch available. You're right about the boot light, it's another good indicator of trim level.
  10. Saw the photos on Trademe, has the GTV interior in it, and unlikely the interior has been changed as the 2-Tone blue is rare & usually only came on Silver cars unless especially ordered. Check your build plate if you want to know for sure, Model code will be AE86-FCMQF. The 'Q' tells you that it is a GTV. GT Apex ends in FCMVF
  11. Early GTV came with the unpainted bumpers, which were a dark grey colour. Flat Black is close enough & looks really good, also easy to touch up if needed.
  12. Usually expect to pay around $200 for second hand Japanese brand name extractors. Please paint/install black bumpers on the Silver Hatch, then fit your Black Volk mesh wheels & lowering springs. Will be awesome.
  13. Yeah better to be safe if you're not confident. How come you're replacing Exhaust Manifold anyways? I thought it had a nice set of Cusco Powerball headers on it? Mitch got them off Reo at Tama if I remember right (only know that because I wanted them & he outbid me)
  14. Andy I know you are a member on AEU86.org so head over there & download the 4AGE 16V manual they have available in PDF. This will detail everything better than I can explain it. You will also need to bridge the diagnostics plug before you reset the base timing.
  15. Maybe it's just your photos, but the wear pattern on the teeth of your crownwheel does not look ideal, a lot of wear on the front edge of the teeth. I would suggest taking your complete diff head to a local diff specialist to be set up correctly, this process will involve removing the pinion, so probably a good opportunity to renew pinion bearings & seal if required. They will also be able to tell you what configuration your diff is set up in (1.5 or 2 way) If I had to guess I would say it is probably the TRD 2-Way, that is the most common setup (The 1.5 way model was discontinued 5 or 6 years back, the 2 Way was available up until 2010) As for your starting problem, yes you have stuffed the timing. There is a procedure for removing & reinstalling the Dizzy. You need to ensure you have the timing mark on your crank pulley at 0 degress, then remove oil cap on Left cam cover & look for the indent in the camshaft, if you do not see a mark on the camshaft then you need to do another full revoluton on the crank. Then there are two marks on the dizzy itself that you need to line up straight. It can be a bit tricky. It is a lot easier to see everythingif you remove the Exhaust side Cam cover. You will need a timing light to correctly set timing afterwards, that is what the adjustment of the dizzy does, fine tunes the timing.
  16. Yeah they were only after the bike. Lucky in some ways, could have been a lot worse.
  17. Sucks to be dragging this thread up again, but unfortunately some fuckers smashed their way into my garage last night & helped themselves to my MX bike. I know a few on here ride, so would appreciate it if you could keep eyes & ears open. Was a 2007 Yamaha YZ250, still wearing original Blue plastics & graphics. Had silver Excel rims, with brand new Michelins. GYTR Folding levers, and a shiny new FMF muffler on the back. Thanks Rob 021355803
  18. That's good, I was just curious, knew your one had been resprayed, but wondered what it was originally. Very very rare to see a GTV in the original 2N2 White/Black Panda, in fact i don't believe it was ever an option until mid 1985. So your one was originally white (038) like my Trueno GTV & Levin notch. I agree the Red looks good, really want to get a Red or Red/Black one for the collection next.
  19. What's the colour code from the silver build plate on the firewall in your car Andy? Is it 038?
  20. Bumping this up again, have a few spares 14" tyres around the place. 2x 185/55/14 Toyo directionals, good tread but getting a bit old, made in 2005 or 2006 $5/couple of steinlagers each Pickup Hornby Rob 021355803
  21. Project Thread here Looks real tidy, makes me miss my old AA63 Sedan. Reckon you should change the door handles back to black, or maybe the mirrors. Just needs something to break up all the white. Black body mouldings maybe if you got them.
