  1. Mountshop.co.nz has a good website, lists most of there available engine mounts with dimensions Link to engine mount section https://www.mountshop.co.nz/SearchByProduct.asp?catSearch=Y&SubGroup2=N&master_group=8&sub_group=1#maincontent
  2. Ask the seller what suburb of Christchurch they're in. If it's on my side of town I could take care of it.
  3. So I had a good look over the remainder of the shell today, the car had been completely primered, & the bumpers painted black, possibly suggests that somebody has been driving the car around over the last couple of weeks. Stolen parts are 4AGE & 22 Spline T50 Gearbox. Had chrome cam covers when removed. Engine & gearbox crossmembers, plus steering rack. AE86 Driveshaft 15x7 Konig Rewind Alloy wheels with 185/55/15 Yokohama Tyres. Gunmetal grey with polished lip. (probably now Matt black) Front Stuts complete with brakes/tophats/lower control arms Racetech bucket seat. Black. Model 100W, production date 2001 Deepdish 3 spoke steering wheel & bosskit
  4. Just heard from the owner. Car was found today burnt out in a Aranui carpark. From the photos it look like the running gear & suspension is gone. Body & Interior was still complete when they torched it. Can't even express how gutted I am for the owner.
  5. I've heard of using complete KE30 Lower control arms in KE70s, they are about 10mm longer & as a result give you some free negative camber, so could probably use the whole lot complete with steering knuckle, may need to mix & match a bit with tie rod ends to get correct level of adjustment.
  6. KE70 Wagon came with two different bolt spacings on the steering knuckle to strut. Later model like yours had 85mm bolt spacing same as AE85/AE86, Earlier model KE70 have 87mm bolt spacing same as KE30. Not sure on brake fitment, can't say I've ever tried it.
  7. Gutted, really after a passengers side especially. Thought they would be easy to find with all the JDM wannabes converting to fender mirrors.
  8. Did you get a spare pair of door mirrors with the new doors? Wanna sell?
  9. Yes they are, just fitted with new 185/55/15 Yokohamas
  10. Yeah everything about it is easily identified, especially the shell. Drivers side floor has been cut out & replaced with flat steel. Roof has had sunroof void filled with steel, then fitted with push up roof vents. Rear quarters had been replaced at some stage, so are red under the white respray, as is the front left guard. Engine had some very shiny chrome cam covers, gearbox is hard to shift into 3rd. I could ID all the interior & seats as it's all come from my spares & only fitted in last 2 weeks.
  11. Really gutted about this, my friend had owned it less than 2 months. We spent the last couple of weeks getting it looking real tidy. Thieving scumbags.
  12. They handle the power ok if you are kind to them. Will require mounts changed over to suit Leaf spring setup in KE30. No readily available LSD options for S diffs. Personally I'd probably go E series from a townace/liteace over S series.
  13. Was a crowd up north making them for all sorts, Endeavour Engineering i believe.
  14. Can't find the link right now, but know that vehicle must be at least 14 years old before removal of airbag steering wheel is allowed & able to be certified. Also allowed in race car with current motorsport authority card i believe.
  15. Have a good look at the copper tracks on the back of the gauge cluster, over time they start to crack & break at any point they are bent or folded, especially around the socket for the wiring harness.
  16. Correct, originally it was vehicles over 20yrs old were exempt from frontal impact & emissions standards but it was capped at 1989. As Orion mentioned above it is now reverting back to a rolling 20 year system
  17. Guy at work has sprayed most the suspension & underbody parts on his Mustang with Hammerite & had good results. I will ask him tomorrow how he went about it & if he needed to thin it down at all.
  18. Photos look like one of the CHCH Club-K cruises, fairly certain the guy that originally built this KE30 & got it certified was on here at one stage, think he went by the name 'repowered'
  19. Yeah normally have issues with this because the cold start is stuffed on most 4AGEs now days, and also the ECU will not go into diagnostics mode if there are other faults present. If dizzy has been out it is also common to install them a couple of teeth out, easier to line up with exhaust side cam cover removed. Easy way to do it is just let the engine warm up to normal temp, don't bridge diagnostics and set timing to 16 degrees with idle around 850-900rpm I've come across a few that i couldn't time to the marks, but still ran without issue. In that case just set timing by Ear & how it revs. Sometimes caused by incorrect dizzy being installed, for bluetop there are a few different types, not sure on later models.
  20. Pickapart nearby? Just head along armed with tape measure & get a nice factory twin fan unit & shroud off something else. Fords & Audis usually have good setups on them.
