  1. One end of mine is 23mm, the other is 17mm. The seventeen is a shitty design and it slipped on my regular socket set so I started using my single hex from the impact set, put fuckloads of pressure on it and it still ended up slipping, impact gun wasn't working. The nut ended up too rounded to be firm on a 17 socket. So I filed the flats back onto it as well as I could, then took a little more off so it was looser on a 17 but a 16 couldn't fit easily.. ..hammered the 16 on, put a 23mm ring spanner on the other side in a place that wedged solid against the frame. Put powerbar on the hammered on socket and gave it some beans whilst trying to steady the frame so it wouldn't twist and fall over. It eventually gave up and moved maybe an 8th of a turn at which point I thought the impact gun would get it. Nope had to powerbar almost a full turn before it started moving freely.
  2. The swing-arm bolt was a cuuuuuuuuuuunt, but other than that everything came apart nicely. Will start clean-up next followed by engine tear-down.
  3. The area I'm working in is only temporary anyway as my brothers CNC Machine will be in that spot. Exciting.
  4. How'd you get on fixing the Avenger? I am on call tonight so couldn't stop to laugh in person
  5. The area that can fit cars without having to drive up a set of stairs, is filled with cars. The double garage is filled with cars, currently two cars are left outside as there is nowhere to park them. Lerl.
  6. Yeah, that's one quarter of the shed, roughly. Maybe a third. Kind of good, kind of annoying.
  7. You did see the Starlet in his earlier pictures, right? ..pewhuehue 'sup Kettle?
  8. Fuck yeah, booooooooi However, the lack of dent fixing on tank lols me.
  9. The factory orange for the 1300 is a different orange. I'd call it more a blood orange, uh, orange, if that makes any sense. The Rx2 orange as above is far lighter in colour. Normally I'm not a red car guy (even though I have red cars) but I think the red works better with the black flares, etc.
  10. Fairly confident you'll either pass or the fail will be something essentially inconsequential that you'll be able to sort almost immediately.
  11. It used to be that even if the car was old, if it was first registered in NZ after 1990 it needed a high stop lamp. So silly having to retro fit something on one car but not an identical one that happened to be registered in nz prior to 1990. Can't recall exactly when it happened but I've been pinged on it before. It's also been missed before on WOF checks simply due to the crazy nature of it.
  12. It was such an odd law, I'm glad they sorted it.
  13. Hah, my shed now has two partially disassembled bikes in it. (3 cars in a similar state, 2 others are fine and usable.)
  14. That's a dope Beat you're dropping, bro. You should buy this.
  15. Yeah, I don't see 1600kg as light. That's a couple hundred kilo heavier than any of my vehicles and then once you load it, etc. Something fairly simply and light but with large ground clearance and 4WD wheels and tyres could be made for far less weight than that. I'm sure there's a million gadgets in that doofer though which would be neat.
  16. I used to ride one of these to school back in the day.
  17. Yeah. It's a gen that started late seventies and ran through to the mid eighties, this one is an '81.
  18. ..and before you say anything, Beaver (I see you there), I also worked on the C110 today. So nyeeeeeah.
