  1. A medium metallic grey would be win, imo.
  2. Take it apart bro, easy as and should sort it and you can always bench test it before you attempt to re-attach anyway, being if it is fucked you'll have to take it off to replace, so, no lose situation.
  3. Can you get anywhere near it to give it a solid whack with a hammer? Either that, or just use that fuckoff battery and do quick flicks to engage it a whole bunch of times, might just be a bit stuck and need free'd up again. Best thing to do would be remove, take apart, clean, grease, reassemble, re-attach... ...but I'm sure you're lazy like me.
  4. Sweet man, next time I head Dunedin bound I might pop in/detour etc. It's been a while etc.
  5. So where you going to be now bro? At your olds place or Dunners or something?
  6. Fuck yeah bro. That's mean! Dead keen on lots more pics man!
  7. Get the rims covered in a woodgrain vinyl. They'll look even more like horse drawn cart wheels then
  8. Yeah, it's quietened down a lot as far as smoke goes. I reckon another while running, just getting everything back into motion, it may well come right, rings were likely stuck etc. Still, we'll see, engine should be rebuilt regardless after sitting for that long. Roadtrip would be lol, needs four new tyres as well as a some steering components sorted out, there's about 30ยบ of nothing in the steering box. Also, gave the hole in the floor a good poking (ooh err guv'nah) It's not too bad, just wish I had a welder to be able to have a go at sorting it myself. The rust in the boot is also pretty non existent especially for an old car that's been sitting for ages. I didn't think about it until later, but I should have used my indicators in that vid. Blinking brake lamps ftmfw!
  9. Choice bro, congrats on the sticker of legalness!
  10. Ah OK. Then ignore me I'd go Yoko, but I have no reasoning for that.
  11. Just get the cheapest performance tyre. You know when your brother gets back he's likely to just fry them anyway so no point fitting him up with epicly nice tyres that will just go to waste.
  12. You could also try a PM to rxsumo Cazz, he has that fantastic RX3 and a few other goodies IIRC
  13. And where is that? I don't even know myself. Oh, roffles. I thought you were going down the MX5 engine route? That would be my choice anyway.
  14. Seems a decent price on that FJ. DO it. Seriously though. I'm with Mikuni on this.
  15. Have you got any photos of the wishbone setup?
  16. It's a fucken mean tidy car, whatchoo talkin' 'bout willis?
  17. A quick cut will get rid of most of that paint from the Skyline, thusly making it look a bit better, even it the minor deflection in the steel is still there. Sucks still, but doesn't look all bad. There was a stack of Falcon bumpers at the Palmy swap meet, I almost bought one just for the fuck of it, with them being so cheap, I can't imagine you'll have too much trouble finding something, maybe even getting that one straightened won't be too bad?
  18. Depends entirely on the car. For the most part, people seem to use the formula that closer to zero or negative offset is for rear wheel drive and positive is for front wheel drive. However, it's nonsense. Different cars require certain offsets, more modern car are generally posi and older close to or negative.
  19. Structurally it's actually really sound, there are a few places that require attention, but it is seperate chassis so there's nothing overly dramatic on it as far as metal repairs goes. The underneath only looks so suss because of the flash showing up the rust as bright orange, it's actually really tidy. There's one hole in the floor in the passenger footwell and the boot structure/frame needs some work as well as a section of boot upright that holds the latch. I would say it requires less attention to the metal than my 110, to be honest.
  20. Would need more than 2 months of saving. There's specific things in the way at the moment. It's all good though, I'll get there. Also, Rhys. You have a date.
  21. Yeah, I want to get it on a lift/hoist so I can take a good look underneath, give it a steam clean and then go from there.
