  1. Sounds EPIC from inside šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ» Sees to go pretty well too šŸ™‚
  2. Dunno if you ever got an answer to this? The V6 gearboxes have about an extra 15mm on the tip length iirc but the position of the splines doesn’t change much.
  3. When reading the wideband, don’t forget that mis-fires/partial fires put O2 into the exhaust and skew the readings lean. This makes it possible for a car that’s actually pig-rich at idle to the point it’s misfiring, to show up as lean. Especially if it’s also got a big cam. Ignition related misfires can have the same effect. Sounds like it’s pretty rich everywhere right now. Good luck with tuning. Wideband does help a lot!
  4. As I have a very dented Spitfire in my garage I have been watching YouTube videos about metal bashing….. and it seems that shrinking discs are a GOOD THING. So I thought I might buy one. Until I saw the price of them here in Pomgolia…. Then I thought I might make one…. It was a bit of a bastard, but now I have something that looks a bit like oneā€¦šŸ˜¬. Testing tomorrow šŸ™‚
  5. Value engineering brings its own trials and challenges - it’s all part of the fun My own 6 pot ITB project is in a redesign stage after not entirely successful trials (don’t hold balance). Happily the original plenum system works pretty well šŸ™„
  6. Well….. no lap belt alone will ever be safer than a 3 pointer and if the factory thought it was good enough not sure that the very man should be arguing….. Just my 2 cent worth…. That made me laugh….. as someone who drives old Triumphs (the meccano ones) too fast I can certainly relate. They do have 3 point belts though
  7. Reckon it will. Have done similar with regular epoxy on several occasions and seems to work.
  8. It may be artificial but it’s definitely not intelligent….. Any fool knows ALL Imps should have flat sixes
  9. That was some unexpected resurrection there - astonishing. 😳. I couldn’t believe they got it turning, then I couldn’t believe that got it running, then I assumed it would eat itself in minutes (if not seconds), and instead it just healed itself šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
  10. Was going to suggest an LS….. šŸ™‚
  11. Looks like it should pull out of there........ jammed in by squashed seal? Saw one of these on a trailer locally the other day and thought of you.
  12. Or even 1960 šŸ™‚
  13. It’s a good looking beast. Polished up nicely. Good luck sorting the shuffle šŸ™‚
  14. Oh.... that looks like alot of welding.....
  15. The size difference is striking. It not just cars that have grown over the years.
