  1. Good thing you had @Dogwatch to take the heavier end then eh?
  2. Nice racks. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2408455195959160/ these may be of interest?
  3. Just standard Beaver things.
  4. Yeah 2012, the egr was shutting off so they replaced that and now the injector warning light has come on and it's gone into limp mode
  5. Yeah, I think once it's not our sole tow vehicle we will probs do something fun with it. Don't want to tinker with the only reliable car we have though. Suzuki Grand Vitara. Really nice aside from the gremlins so hoping they can sort it.
  6. Update-less picture.. So this thing isn’t really meeting our towing needs (who would have thought).. having to go into second or first gear to get up hills when we’re towing a light trailer with motorbikes and tent on the roof was getting really tedious so we decided we would upgrade.. ended up buying a relatively modern, capable manual diesel which has proven itself to be nothing but unreliable.. have owned it since oct and only had 3 weeks at most use out of it (fortunately it was bought from a dealer so we aren’t forking out to get it fixed at least) Just got the new car back last night from the mechanic.. updated the RUCs and Reg, filled it up with diesel ready for our camping trip this weekend and then on my drive home.. limp mode! Blargh! Good thing we’ve still got the trusty ol’ HRV to rely on. So as it sits, nothing much cosmetic has changed on the honda since the last update.. we do have the paint but it’s yet to be painted. We just ended up matching the yellow because we thought with getting a new car, we’d just flick the honda off.. looks like we’re never selling though, it’s just too damn reliable and owes us nothing.
  7. It came in real handy after Aliexpress let us down.
  8. Someone pointed out recently that if you have wrist braces then the next point that's probably going to snap from the impact/shock is your collar bone. Whether they are correct or not I'm not sure but I'd rather a wrist than a collar bone
  9. Yeah they basically two shops in one, the turbo and diesel side and general mechanic, wof, tyre stuff. They have seperate insta pages for both sides of the business, I will send you links and you can have a geeze. They are closed until the 18th btw.
  10. Our friends own raglan turbo and diesel/ Bosch Avalon on Avalon drive. They're a good bunch who know their stuff generally and our friend Ben basically just kicks around the shop doing his own projects and roasting coffee beans and making people free coffee while the mechanics do the car stuff
  11. We (well, mostly @Guypie.. I kind of just handed him beers and water blasted the old fence palings) made a chair to take advantage of our view
  12. @Guypie has some concreting projects coming up so he made a concrete mixer. Works quite well. He also used the left over 3rd of a drum to make a fire pit that he sold on fb for $60. So the total cost of the concrete mixer came out as -$35. The only expense was the belt, everything else was stuff he already had lying around.
  13. I bought a box of gn 250 parts from a guy who has a 125 and he thought he could swap things over too, apparently they are quite different in the rear. Seats aren't easily interchangeable between the two either btw
  14. @rumrum ol' faithful is free that weekend. I have no doubts it will make the trip (if you avoid the popo) also, now with upgrades: Yes that is a bung on a chain that goes into the exhaust to stop the engine. I'll expect a PM from you soon
  15. This. My biggest pet peeve with GNs is that they are shaped like a banana. A little bit of work moving the mounts and they can look awesome
  16. Nice! ...Bike looks good too.
  17. Engine rebuild in the kitchen, you must have a very patient lady
  18. Agreed. Hurry up and commit @yoeddynz so I can stop thinking about it

    Honda chaly

@Mitch.W how's it looking these days?
  20. @Guypie thinks a big part of why we fell over was because the trailer was designed wrong and the axle was in the wrong place. The trailer was in pretty poor shape after the crash so he decided to rebuild it. Basically all that's left of the old trailer is the guards, some angle iron and the springs. We can tick "able to tow fire wood out of a boggy paddock" off of the list of Honda requirements. What a little champ
  21. Resene or similar paint places I think. Can't remember the cost but I remember it being kind of spendy when we looked it up. @solidstripe might have a better idea. We are probably going to go with a cheaper equivalent tbh
  22. Haha, thanks. Pretty sure a boar would be bigger than the Honda. Will hit you up for some raptor tips though
  23. Could be keen on the ct90 or fr50 if you do decide to sell
  24. Gave the march a thorough clean yesterday. One thing I can't stand is a grubby interior. How do people let their cars get so bad? I'm talking that sticky muck stage, cigarette butts everywhere (including inside the rip in the interior of the driver's seat), dust so thick on the dashboard that you could barely see the speedo, half eaten biscuits and child socks under the seats. I had to unscrew and pull out the centre console cupholder to clean it, it was so bad that I couldn't even find the screws, I had to jam the screw driver around in the muck scraping it away until I found them. Car has had no love for a very long time but looking SO much better now. A good clean always improves the feel of the car IMO, when we got it I was like "this is a pile of garbage" but now I am excited to get it on the road and start zooming around. Today I pulled all the seats out and water blasted them, all apart from the drivers should look pretty decent now. Also found $8 in change so it only cost us $592!
