I also did this, but then taped the relevant glad bag to the part that the nuts/bolts connected to. Worked well. -

Totally. And there's no way I have those skills, but that's the level of workmanship I wanted on this car. Took me quite a while to find the right guy.

Had a sunroof removed a while back. Paid good $ for a craftsman panel beater. Once the insert was tigged in it went to paint. The painter only used high build primer, no filler at all. Then a metal flake paint so it had to be spot on. Makes me lol watching the yankee hot rod shows. Fabrication is finished now it's time for body work, out comes a big drum of bog. Lol.

I'm not sure. It's on a big block Oldsmobile rocket. All the yanks use them, I don't like them. Have played around with holleys a lot over the years and find them a lot more tuneable. I picked up a new 600vs with manually adjustable floats (old school) when I was in the states last time. Just got to get off my ass and fit it.
-
Ditto this, hate them with a passion. Must get around to swapping mine out.

You can buy carb kits with re-usable gaskets that let you remove and refir the metering blocks if you're going to be fiddling lots. First test I used to do to see if it was over jetted was to get it running at a high idle, then wind the idle mixture screw in. If it winds all the way in and doesnt stall then you jets are way too big.
