  1. Slow and steady, have run wires for air temp, coolant temp, throttle position, idle air valve and made a start on the power supply for the injectors. Made a mistake on the first plug by not feeding the wires through first, will have to order a new one. For the injectors I have four outputs on this ECU, any thoughts on how to set this up? I'm thinking of dividing them up by firing order, so 1 and 8 on the first wire, 4 and 3 on the next and so on Firing order 18436572
  2. Decided to mount ECU in the engine bay, have put it on the front right by the radiator. Fuse/relay box on top, ECU and wideband controller are underneath. Having this sorted let's me know how long the wires need to be, so I guess I can chug away at that next.
  3. Made a start on trying to sort out the wiring and software side of things, went into settings and start mashing stuff in. Have no idea here really so any advice welcome. So on this it's going to be a semi sequential type of deal as there are only 4 injector drives, not sure if I should put in as a 4 cylinder at half the engine size, but for now it let me put in 8. Also, I am wondering if the injectors will get wired across the block (1 and 2 together) or by firing order (1 and 8 together)? Trigger section, yeah, no idea. Left it as is for now. Fuel, set it as semi sequential. Will use the map sensor in the ecu. And ignition, distributor With that in it gives a list of which wires do what. So yeah, it's a start, I guess.
  4. That's a lot of slam! City's are a neat little car, looking forward to how this turns out.
  5. +1 for exa thread, very cool and hard to come by car these days.
  6. If you are dead set on deisel engine probably a straight 6 would be best. Land rover TDI is underpowered even in a disco, td42 would be good. My old work had a 1992 Isuzu forward, it was na but plenty powerful and super reliable, it's still in use. Not sure on engine model but would recommend.
  7. What you are doing is looking very nice, look forward to seeing it finished .
  8. You mentioned hills and traffic, so probably a about similar to my father's 3.9 disco for normal driving. No doubt on a decent cruise on good open roads the figure would improve some.
  9. Yes, this is what I'm getting at, the may have altered the driveshaft for max slam, also a bent driveshaft from being slammed and hitting a judder bar or even the body itself will cause severe vibration
  10. Oh yeah dude, had another look, it's not even welded properly at the shaft end. It looks like it was lengthened, maybe to cope with extreme lowering. Personally I would not drive on that, I would say it's where the vibration is. Actually gasped when I saw it lol.
  11. That driveshaft looks dodgy, do you think it's a home job, maybe UJ alignment out or out of balance? does it have a loop on it?
  12. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/435488371902548/ In case you haven't seen it, but you probably have
  13. Post up if you get that delta, a mate of mine has one, I'll ask him if he's after anything.
  14. 840mm x 420mm x 80mm thick, although the core is only like 60mm thick, and the fittings are wrong, and it doesn’t have a cap. So yeah probably not ideal.
  15. Landrover discovery also have a hefty radiator, should be easy enough to get.
  16. It looks like the top and bottom radiator hoses are on the same side of the radiator, is it possible the water flow is not spread over the full width?
  17. Look at his other listings, it's an impressive hoard
