  2. ive noticed on some of the aw11 mr2 threads theres a remote style radiator filler pipe thing... do all of them have it or just the modded ones on here? if its factory then what size is the piping??? i need to have something similar for th stockcar cos the thermostat housing is higher than the radiator cap..

  8. another big day in the workshop... swapped the front beams over cos the shock mounts on the one in the car were all tweaked out on a stupid angle which would cause the shock to bend and break..not good.. so the new one aligns the shocks alot better... also clearenced the hubs and fitted grease nipples to the king pins and drop arm tube.. cut the tank mount off that i made,will drop the tank down.. put the calipers on.....i might have to make a steering stopper cos it looks like the caliper banjo bolt will hit the beam under full lock.. was gonna make the dash skin but have to head home to watch the warriors...

  10. big ups to HUNTED for the steering wheel... it actually suits stockcars good...in a huge hit itll bend saving your wrists..
  11. big day in the workshop today.. got the seat base mounts and plate done.. steering shaft,wheel hub and wheel is on. re welded the drop arm tube to the pitman hub for the box. made a battery box. welded in the fish(spelling?) plates above the diff. ground down the unnecessary welds etc. decided were going to drop the tank down through the cross brace. battery box will go in the back now. found out that the front beam shock mounts are out of alignment so well chop them off and remount the shocks aswell as the towers. none of this stuff would have been done with out the help of guy stewart.. a hive of knowledge and skill,and a great motivator, knows what needs to be done and just gets it done... pics of todays effort to follow
  12. when i first read that you were putting the scoop on i vomited a little.. but when i saw that you had satty b'd the bonnet it looks mint.. was sceptical as when it was in primer.. the color scheme is the shiz dan...if the bonnet was the same colour as the rest of it,it would of pulled the focus to the scoop...but you can take it all in like it is... what tina?i dont remember no tina the tina was mint,but this is just up'ed it by 2 levels... top job
  13. do a google search... my ef falcon had a similar problem. although it was caused by a dead battery.so it threw up a fault.. found the error codes online,and how to do it.. on the coon i just had to ground the reset terminal until the beeper went off in the dash. sorted,and cost me nothing...
  14. get one off a bus... they use them to pump the water round for the heater system.. large bilge pump style,not loud at all... im sure you could find one cheap through a commercial dismantler or something
  15. was that in papakura??? rotors have been put into just about everything under the sun. its quite funny cos people buy a $500 car and put a rotor in it and expect $10000 atleast... over rotors... getting an itch to get a v8....more of a hot rod than a sporty v8.. family cruiser....should be all good.. legacy conversions make sense,cos as soon as you dissable the 4wd they handle real well,and lots of aftermarket gear for them..good size engine bay and tunnel. the weak part would be the diff..but ive seen skyline diffs put in these to make them a wee bit more reliable.

  21. my hunter was a 69 with alloy head...it had a fucked radiator.but never cracked a head or blew a gasket. i remember getting it upto 85mph down ramarama straight,was scared shitless to go faster cos i was on my learners... did good skids
  22. my hunter was stock apart from a set of hot plugs and ran on avgas.. went well......until i rolled it
  23. ive heard that soda blasting is the shiz...doesnt pit the metal at all.. anyone seen it done?
