  1. I used to use Jesco hydraulics on bond st, from memory. They did all of the ps lines on my Stockcar and they did all our on farm repairs
  2. Agreed, even I wouldn’t run those struts as they are. so much nicer off the black rims too. Not a fan of 18s, but she sure looks sweet now, luckily it’s the right size Mazda to pull off a bigger rim
  3. @cletus would you be happy with these components for certification providing the welds on the brackets-chassis wasn’t cactus? bags that are on the way are rated 2600lb each as well
  4. So mean, bin the black wheels and it’ll be perfect
  5. So the air ride stuff is coming from Chassis Tech, they messaged today saying they are out of the 7 switch controllers, so have upgraded the kit to a wireless controller. looking into options for a pre made 4 link kit, will go triangulated. my brain is telling me to get it sitting at preferred ride height, then set the main bars level, and the upper bars parallel, but again I may sub it out haha.
  6. Coming to a cinema near you, this century.
  7. Righto, refitting the IACV on the 4age. but where do these 5 ports go to? I only have 2 water lines from the block that can tap into it.
  8. Any of it really. Considering bagging the ute but need to gather intel first. have found kits overseas that are half the cost of Nz sourced kits
  9. In regards to air ride systems. Do the components need to be tagged/stamped/labelled at all?
  10. Decided to stop being a pussy and melt some shit together. I lay the rx3 cut over the ute guard. screwed them together where it needs to be then cut it out, started spot welding bits. im gutted the front lower section was mashed on the rx3 guard cos the other side fits mint to the ute guard. This one will take some patience.
  11. Yup that’s it. they hold up fine in rally cars even after cartwheeling down a bank. the weld on tabs are good, allows you to move the seat inline with the steering wheel if it’s on the piss from the factory
  12. Sunday drives have been so much fun
  13. That’s how rallycars have their seat mounts usually. no cert required when running authority card. but street cars would require cert for them. both ends would require a plate welded to the mounting point. have read the requirements in the msnz manual somewhere. im considering doing this set up in the wrx and do away with the NZKW mounts
  14. Funny thing is, my car never featured bump stops, so doesn’t have any at all
  15. Cops are clueless and shouldnt have the authority to “inspect” shit they know nothing about. now it’ll be a costly RE check right
  16. Took the Mrs for her first taste of old junk driving after work. she even got to experience all the dorts of the 4age. she approves. Even said “it is cool” she ask how those non retracting seatbelts are supposed to save lives haha
  17. Kind of lost motivation when my work ute got nicked. should be back into it soon. hard to decide how deep I want to rip into it. So many things I’d like to do
  18. That rabbit hole is quite deep indeed. it’ll have to wait until the ute is finished, I’m not ready for that stress level again turbo sounds tempting though haha
  19. She’s Finished!!!! I’ve finally finished a project. certified, wof’d and registered. last legal for the last Hanmeet, so it’s been a while.
  20. Generic barrel type oil pressure sensor should do the trick for the oil pieces (2 wire type), oil temp should use a generic type temp sensor as well usually a single wire. tacho is fairly straightforward with diagrams online, usually: acc + (red) earth (black) light + (yellow) coil - (green) may be a couple of wires on that to change from 4/6/8 cylinder
  21. shizzl

    Sound deadening

20pcs for $100 seems pretty decent if it does the trick. think I’ll look into this stuff to do the hunter when it’s finally back from cert
  22. Just sat the rx3 bonnet on it for effect. sat here enjoying some colds snacks and thought, yup I’m digging this. needs more low, lots more low, like all of the low
