  1. Also a strategic dent in the dump pipe will make little to no difference to the engine
  2. The ceramic tips the guns usually come with are pretty shit and the hole opens up pretty quick with use. When this happens the venturie effect is reduced and it doesnt pick much sand up. There is two options. Replace the tip regularly when it wears. Which most people do Or there is a company in chch that specializes is sandblasters and sells some fancy tips that cost like 250$ and last "forever" (we go one for the bast cabinet at work like 3 years ago. We were replacing them every couple days and since havnt replaced the fandagle flash one. Cant rememebr where we got it from but can find out) Work has a machineryhouse one thats pretty decent otherwise.
  3. I have the number for getting tools replaced on my toolbox as i suffer the same ussue of no truck anymore. Will get it for you minday
  4. Mig welding a bonnet like that is a sure fire way to fuck it. Also rust converters are a have. The correct way to deal with the frame being rusty like yours is to get it sandblasted. Its inexpensive and does the job properly.
  5. Whats it weigh? Wouldn't be very heavvy. If its an issue just put an unbraked coupling on it?
  6. Still on the look out for a 3.36 holden diff for this. Ht/hk/hg Should be corse spline but will pull an axle and check
  7. @Mof i guess its in there but most places cant enforce it easily
  8. Sounds like a bit of a have Usually trailer brakes are just sorta like yeah they arnt dragging and they stop a free wheeling wheel so the do something Good to go
  9. When it rains my feet get wet There is also a cold breez from under the dash whilst driving I thought u would investigate. So i pulled the dash out found some yucky Then this happend Then this happend Not ideal But a pretty good result considering its a 70s toyota. Will be a straight forward repair
  10. Can stay with me for a bit if its only a week or two. Can keep my l300 company If the seller can deliver to chch makes it easy
  11. Did this this morning at work. Centre bearing was noisy and loose. Hilux centre with the crown housing bolted around it. Sorted Much quieter
  12. How long till you could come get it?
  13. This has been a bit of a sack. Blew a heater hose cos the coolant system was pressuring because the headgast was leaking. Then because of the blown hose i think the headgasket went properly and it started gushing collant out the radiator cap So today i replaced the headgasket. Was also lazy and didnt do the stem seals. Meh. Front brakes are also real grabby. Fuckin drum brakes Put some moreys in the motor to stop some of the smoke.... Also fitted a tach so i can see it doing 5000rpm at 100k Winning combo
  14. This thread is an abortion. Needs a clean up. Since half the pics dont work Anyways. This got a wof last week. Then i cut 1.5 coils out. Needs more tbh Also fitted some 205/70/14 to the factory steelies One day i might paint it. But not today
  15. I ask this in fear of being ridiculed But whats the legality of something like this. This one exactly?
  16. After much to long it now has color where ive done repairs Didnt take a pic after clearing it. Looks the sane but shinyer
  17. Sold the 720 Regretted it Wanted a bigger deck Bought a 1980 l300 truck 1600 4 speed with drum brakes all round Has a bit of rust as all good Mitsubishi's do More to come
  18. All going well i should have a new addition to the fleet to showcase on sunday
  19. Been fighting the transmission for a while. Still slipping badly in first and revs spiking into second. Checked the transmission ecu. All visually looks ok. Good enough for me. So today i took at the pan off and removed the valve body to check solenoid operation. They all seem ok. I also dropped the valave body out of a e33 galant thats donated many parts already and unsurprisingly the valve body is almost identical. One solenoid needs to be swapped over then will go in. With any luck it woll solve the issue as it came from a fully functional transmission Og on the left and the galant one on the right
  20. Touched up around the a pillar and front guard this eveing Will put the drivers door back on and do the doors and back guards at the same time
