At the time yes when it was all HQ Holdens, XA Coons, VH Valiants plus everything from British Leyland. I remember seeming an HQ Kingswood black and white patrol car Trimatic V8 outside the school one day. Stood looking at the Trimatic V8 badges for ages lol

I remember a teacher had a silver one of these in the mid 70’s when I was at primary school.

Nah I’ve owned it for years and so time to just get on with it. Focus is to get the 2 door panel finished and then do the panel on this. While the 4 Door is getting panelled the 2 door will go to the paint shop. Currently can’t do anything as 3 weeks into 8 weeks of my right leg in plaster so bloody frustrating to say the least having to rely on family to drive me everywhere.

Where have all the trucks ended up?

If it’s an 68 it would be probably close to being the only one left and with all the original running gear.

Pretty sure you can get new floors from Palmside.

Steampunk to the max. Loving it.

Tell him to fuck off. Why’s he buying an Audi TT anyway when he could get a hassle free Corolla or something. This has weapons grade scam all over it. One minute he’s saying he works at the airport and then ne needs to move closer to the airport to get work.
Just block the fucker and I can guarantee you won’t have any regrets

Make your own with a bit of piano wire and a couple of lawnmower pull start handles

What’s the maximum cc you can bring along? Would a Honda SL 125 pass muster?

I have an Aussie Desert Cooler Ali Radiator in my Senator and no issues. It’s the old story and you get what you pay for.

Just thought check your main bearing sizes as Ford used to overbore the main bearing tunnel on some blocks to reduce the amount of scrap blocks. You may have one of those....

2k is on the money. People always bitch about how much shit costs however quality costs money and you are also buying IP and experiance. If others have used him and are happy with his work that’s a good sign as well. Also factor in its bloody hard to get people to do that type of work on a fixed price as well due to extra work because the rust is worst when they start chopping it out.

Not much to report on. Decent panels are like rocking horse shit to get and with a 10 month lead time on a new front panel I’m seriously contemplating buying another Mk 1 to get the front panel off. Engine rebuild is underway and powdercoater is a 4 week lead time so drip feeding parts too him. Having my op on my foot next week and leg in plaster for 8 weeks which will slow progress

You’re right 3 months is fuck all. Most car resto panel beaters that do quality work have a 12 month lead time
