Hopefully the summons to the disputes tribunal will all be too hard for him and he will get in touch and do a deal

was it owned by Andrew Turner before you? I think I certed it for him, it didn't have the scoop on then, and that was prior to the requirement for measuring the height and recording it
people get them legal then stack stuff back on top after the plate goes on, which is why we have to measure it and put it on the plate now
heres one in its (just) legal state, im pretty sure after the plate went on, it got its other taller carbs and scoop put back on
Yep I bought it off Andrew.

How old are your rubber lines? They can swell up on the inside when old
Got that tee shirt. Car sat for a couple of years and back brakes were jammed when tried to move it. The rear rubber brake hose had collapsed inside. Cut the hose off and bing back brakes freed up

Here you go, this is an SS Commodore as you described.
That's a 2L ice cream container on its side, and it's above the string line. I measure it to roughly be a maximum of 150mm at the firewall you could have sticking out. So sorry to bust burst your bubble...But those dreams of that methanol blower with the huge bug catcher scoop like a top fuel dragster aren't a reality if you want your car to be street legal sorry.
My Senator was fully certed back in 2008 for the blower. I doubt it would pass cert now. I’m actually going to put on one of those scoops that sits over the carb as the one on it at the moment causes a bad blind spot on the left front corner. I’d budget 20-30k to build and get legal. It’s all the small shit that adds up

Put it down to experiance. Most you you will get at disputes tribunal is 50% of your claim and then they will try and grinfuck you into accepting 5 bucks a week. Ask for an examination oof their finances if they try and pull that stunt.
this is a he said she said situation so nobody wins unfortunately

Hi all, the boy is look at buying a 92 Skyline which is a manual. I downloaded the Jap auction report and that plus the photos show it was originally an auto. Question is does the auto to maunual conversion need to be certified? Btw it has a current VTNZ WOF with the manual gearbox.

No updates apart from bottom end of the engine is done. Ended up sleeving the block to use the pistons that were already in it. Next job is reco the head and convert to unleaded. Body is on hold until the 2 Door GT is finished at R3 and then onto this one straight away

I have another old Mk 1 GT Cortina with dead rego but still have the original ownership papers and body tags. The number plates are long gone. How hard would this to be to register?

I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much about it. Most of have a story about being ripped off by some cunt grinfucking you. You are doing the right thing going to disputes and if doesn’t go completely your way at least you have given it your best shot.
