  1. Yeah I have that. And I had a tiny first aid kid with me last year. The support car had a big one last year too which is where I got my sling from. A few people attending are likely to have first aid certs too.
  2. My speakers arrived. Never realised they have an SD card slot. Will try loop the "THUNDER" part of Thunderstruck on repeat for 10 hours and just play that I reckon. Should be able to mount them pretty nicely. Using the same bars as these, less the indicators.
  3. C200 frames are way different than cub ones. Inside is reinforced quite well. A lot more beefy. Seems to hold up well. Only holding a few KG’s too. Seems Honda had no qualms with steel usage in ‘63.
  4. Picked up a real* Yoshi for my bike. Technically a straight pipe because the muffler doesn’t really seem to have much inside it. Almost got all my bits to finish this thing! *fake. Also not actually my bike pictured.
  5. Nope. Not done that as had no idea on the numbers when we booked a month or so back. Lovely ol' husband/wife behind the counter are easy to deal with though. Link: https://www.waikanaebeachmotel.co.nz/
  6. @64vauxhall/ @Archetype/ @Kass. We stayed at that Waikanae beach motel. 4 to a room it was only $10 more than the YHA or whatever. Beach front ish. Was nice. QCR dudes are staying there this year I think plus some of the AKL crew. GN 125/250 guys were there with us last year. I have a small tent now @HighLUX so if you have the bach then keen on grass space. Otherwise will go sleep on the wharf near by.
  7. This is the one that should be available for him. Pretty fitting really as that’s him on the right side of the photo watching it do skids at Ham ride. No luggage racks sadly but it should be perfect for the weekend otherwise.
  8. @Chris.QCR check these out. The fork arms from Draft in Thailand. Advertised 30mm front end drop. These are up against my c200 fork arms which are from ‘63. No idea how different they are to cub ones. I put one below and one above for comparison. But sitting in the same place as they would be mounted there is a 25mm difference from centre of axle hole to axle hole. The weight of the bike combined with the shorter rear of the arm, meaning a different bumpstop position; should give it over 30mm drop. Interesting enough. Pretty simple but awesome concept.
  9. Fuck yeah you're right. Almost considering trailer-ing the bike for a day just to get some epic footage. Also +1 to side stand. Never had such an emotional moment with another man before. Glad it was you of all people @64vauxhall.
  10. See it quite a bit on older vespas at work. Tap off is the quick fix. Doing it after each ride can be annoying but a good habit. Only issue is when you start the thing, go for a hoon and it dies after 800m then you spend 5 minutes kicking the thing till you realise the fuel isn't on. Lol. Have you checked out SIP? They've got the largest haul of Vespa stuff I've ever seen. Shipping doesn't take too long either.
  11. Eastcape tyres arrived. Knobblies will ruin my guards. Will take my chances with these beasts. Should be mint. *Yes I am bringing a 3 wheeler thing. I'm not. These blaaardy OS admins abusing their darn internet editing powers.
  12. This is said horse. During the daytime the local kids use it to go to the skatepark and tell pasty white boys to 'do a jump eh bei' on their scooters. Sir @64vauxhall riding the backup bike in there too.
  13. Can't you tell by @BLIZZO's face how big of a deal the no Dobro situation turned out to be?
  14. I was just reading last years thread. We had 3 months notice, 14 bikes in the end. Yes to quick food plz. I never got my food in Ruatoria after an almost 2 hour wait. Made for a queezy broken ride in the Jimny over the Motu. The CHCH dewds are gonna prepack a lot of everything by the sounds of it. I can exist on PG's, buddha sticks and dry noodles.
  15. There’s a spare bike up for grabs a couple pages back.
  16. Watching @BLIZZOs edit of the ride after all this fizzing I've been doing. This part has got to be my favourite. 82.976kph tucked top speed races on the second day. Slip streams proved useful!
  17. @Archetype might be able to suss a mean sticker deal. Whoever does it I want about 3 this year and I'm happy to pay. Only got one last year and don't even use the part (legshield) I put it on anymore. Lol. Also @johnnyfive add another to the non OS-ers. Local engineer dude who is riding an AG100 with a F1SE type tank and it's ported to heck. He built this bike purely for the ride after watching the videos from last year.
  18. I am absolutely fizzing. Bikes almost ready for paint. Can't waaaaaaait to get some nangs on with all you awesome people. Last year was 14 if I recall correctly. SHIIIT. Forgot to order an Aliexpress stereo.
  19. Thats what the 3-5 people said last year that never ever rode on 2 wheels before let alone gravel. Yet myself and @Shakotom who've been riding for a few years were the only ones to bung off. Theres a lot of talk; but it's mainly to ensure that people bring bikes that will work for 3 days. Realistically the ride isn't too bad. Come and join so I'm not the only one rocking leading link front suspension on an ex-wrc stage!
