  1. My OCD kicked in so now I'm cleaning and/or painting EVERYTHING. Second sand blasting pile has started.
  2. Blasted and painted, better start re-assembly before alzheimers kicks in.
  3. 10 points for idea. Minus 1763 points for execution. You couldn't pay me enough to be in the same shed when that's running. Google compressor tank explosion.
  4. It may be a little small but will work. You'll find what works best as you go. The rated CFM is the amount of air the pump can put into the tank, not the air coming out of the outlet, what comes out is normally a third less than rated CFM. Rated psi is the max pressure that will come out at first 'pull' of the trigger once tank is full, then it goes down pretty quickly from there. The main thing I've found to help with "hungry" tools is storage capacity. I had a 13 CFM pump on the 50 litre tank and it was shit and would 'cycle' more than ideal. Put that same pump on my a 140 litre tank and it's great for air hungry tools.
  5. Hope you've got a reasonable size compressor to feed that cabinet. Sand/media blasting is a compressor killer.
  6. Thought it was time to update this thread. Everything has been sold (except one very long term moped project in boxes) I'm now concentrating on another Gyro. I did a deal with Raizer on my A50 for it. This is how i got it. And this is how it sits, going to the blasters in the morning. Hopefully with only one project i won't get distracted and actually finish it lol.
  7. Any one around the Waikato - BOP - Auck' - Hawkes Bay area with a biggish lathe and has more engineering skill than me (not that hard lol) that would be keen to do an "odd" job. Will happily pay in your currency of choice.
  8. The thickness of that "paint" looks insufficient to be bog, it may be one of those 'spray bogs'. Most of the time the whole car would get done in it which unfortunately means stripping the whole car. This Alfa was done in it and i had to get rid of the lot.
  9. Yep, epoxy first. I'm assuming that's bog (too thick to be primer / paint layers). The way it's let go I'd say there was moisture trapped under the bog and it's just been sitting there patiently waiting to pop it's ugly head out and say hello. Do you have any pic's of other "suspect" spots?

Depends what you consider "nice". Yes, we use adhesion promoter all the time and recommend it on any bare/raw plastics.

If you were on the same island I would've done it for a lot less than 2 grand. Pearl White is no biggie. I just use a pearl white tinter then clear it. The straight pearl tinter works better than a mixed colour as it's not "diluted" you could say.
  15. I've got a mid 80s and a mid 90s DS80 here if you need pics or measurements.

I see it says not suitable for isocyanates.
  17. Wasn't hard to work out mate, your username here on Oldschool and the first Gadabout Mark writes about in this article. http://www.icenicam.org.uk/articles2/art0036.html The Geoffrey Clark in the article has a big collection of mopeds down in Napier. I've spoken to him a few times and will pop in to see him next time i'm down there visiting my mum. I don't have any cables, was just going to get some made because of the motor swap i'll need custom made ones. As far as tyres go, the only place i could find them (23" x 2") were from here http://www.mopedland.co.uk/chain/index.html#tyre But as my rims were rotten I'm going with 24", which by my reckoning will work fine.
  18. And a trailer of.....well if you asked my missus it's called "Rubbish"......
  19. Sweet, yeah i've still got mine. Won't be getting rid of that one. It's a loooong term project and currently in boxes. So yours is # 8N2199 yeah?
  20. Didn't like that colour anyway.....pffft But I do like yummy sweet 'candy' tho'. I also like 24K gold, (not the $2200 price tag tho 'haha)
