Took it in for a WOF, needed to replace an axle seal, front left brake line and repair a tear in the sill that looked like it’d been there for the last 20 years. Giving a rap to Tuakau Panelbeaters for doing the job on such short notice.
Car is sold, I’m happy/sad.. time to focus on building my shed now.

Good to see a couple of paddles handy.. but in all seriousness, looking forward to hearing your plans to remedy the flooding.. Would it be a matter of better redirection of the water or raising the house onto a basement for said vehicles as well as water management away from site?

Correct, basement carpark floor, fences show actual ground level.
Technicalities.. ground (as mentioned in the article) to me is measured at the point of the subject in question.. ground 'level' on the other hand is as you say, but not what they say..

Those teddy bears are spinning pretty fast.. I think you should call it 107.8 fwtb instead of 107.8 fwkw

Turns out the mechanical fan does a better job with the new water pump.

Looks awesome, prefer the look of a well used and maintained car.. that mechanical drama didn’t sound very enjoyable.. engine bay looks great though

I wouldn't count on the VIN in carjam being right. Plenty of mix ups when cars got registered years ago. Not too hard to see a badly written 8 being turned into a 5.
Agreed, from memory the VIN on this car doesn't match what's on Carjam.
Edit.. looked back on my previous thread & it was the calling it a Firebird & not Trans am that was wrong on Carjam.
@Al1, wouldn't surprise me if the '5' on the Carjam VIN has been misread & its a 6 or 8.

Not sure they have even decided on the tax / rebates yet?
Did they also offer you a good deal on a new ute? Lol
haha nah, he was pushing buying an EV before the rebate finishes but when I said I need a vehicle for towing he conceded EV's aren't there yet for those requirements.. he used towing over the Kaimai's as reference to EV failure (sucked dry battery no doubt) while towing

I've just heard that RUC's are going to be removed from ute's from December (from a rep at Schofields calling me about getting into an EV with this big expo coming up).. is this true?

Jason’s Bush Block and Self Sustainability Ramblings - Non-retaining retaining wall
in Other Projects
Posted
Been a minute or two.. had shoulder surgery late last year which slowed me down a bit. Just prior to that I got dad to come up and help me build a retaining wall.
Still got the ends to finish off but it turned out pretty neat for a first timer.
Moved the bus up to the building platform and built a sketchy roof over it so it could dry out better. I’ve since removed the tarp.
I’ve also got my container down there now and the place is looking more like a builders storage yard.
