  1. Haha, those are nicely done cars. I need to get the bumpers sorted as in the pic you can see the front one has faded badly (it's also cracked.) Normally I would leave bodywork well alone as I prefer the worn, used look but in this case the bumper has faded so badly that it's the first I notice when I look at the car and I feel it cheapens the look rather than add to it. The back bumper will just need sanding.
  2. This is amazing, I've never seen any of these Simcas before. Bravo for the original standard look!
  3. Discussion for the Corona coupe, would love to know about any others in NZ. Compared to the Celica there are far fewer photos and much less info on the Internet about them. Cheers!
  4. Hi everyone, you may remember me as the Flickr photographer with the brown Fiat 128 who posts on here sporadically. Unfortunately the 128 will be sold soon due to rust issues I can't/am loathe to fix. As a replacement I have gone JDM and bought something I don't recall ever seeing another example of (something I couldn't say about the 128!) It's a 1987 Toyota Corona 2.0 VX Coupe, ST162 model, which is basically a Celica notchback sold only in Japan to continue the line of Corona coupes that had always run alongside the Celica. For some reason Toyota Japan decided that the only Celica badged models they were going to sell in the JDM for this generation were the liftback and convertible. It was imported in 1994 and has only done 196,000 kms from new.
