We ran HiFlys on all our vehicles for many years with no issues. Our wof guy now stocks Goodrides instead so we use those. No issues so far.

I am aware that there is a procedure for bona fide farmers to claim back the fuel excise if they use petrol tractors. Not sure whether this can be applied to other commercial users of petrol-powered tools such as lawnmowing contractors. Does anyone else know? Raizer? Fuck this laptop with its non functional "at" key.

That's fucking amazing. Is there a back story?

Have you considered a proper truck rather than a ute?

Very impressive. Electrical bits must be incredibly well insulated/shielded.

Small but perfectly formed.

Think I've found you on google Map. Long and windy access road to deter unwanted blow ins but still conveniently close to town for supply runs, even on a quad or side-by-side when winter conditions make the road too sketchy for a car. Reckon I could live with that.

Spotted this '47 Ford on Friday broken down outside our place (fueling issues). The owner and I fiddled with it for a while with little success before it was eventually taken away on a transporter. Later I read a post on FB from a man in Saskatchewan describing his experience with a '46 V8 truck owned by his father which had a habit of vapour locking when it got hot and wondered whether this was the issue here. If so I suspect that by the time the mechanic got around to looking at it the problem would have gone away.

Been doing a bit more reading about it, it's not just 1kz vehicles with a factory "dead zone" in the gauge, it's most factory temperature gauges, but after a lot of people complaining/panicking about the needle fluctuating a lot in the earliest 1kz models Toyota went ham on the dampening.
What about the modern Toyotas that don't have a gauge, just a big red panic light? Is it likely to be to late to save it by the time the light comes on?
Perhaps this discussion should be taken to the tech spam thread?
