    Shes now for sale! Time to move her along and start my next project or maybe finish the other ones ive had sitting there for while.     And for now its finished. I could spend many more hours on the car to get rid of some of the imperfections and in the end i will. But after 2 and a half weeks of solid morning to night work im ready to just drive it. A couple pictures below are on the standard wheels as i had more than two people in it and it rubs on the tridents. And finishing it off with my 18th and a little burnout on the standards, dosent do a bad job with a couple people lifting it.

    And finally that's a wrap on spraying. My first time ever spraying a car ever and it came out better than expected. Although getting a few runs here and there, its all a learning curve for me and getting it to this stage on my own is a feat in itself. Before i sprayed the car i had to do the underside of the bonnet as it was rusting quite bad. So i fixed that and high filled, sanded and sprayed it. Another item that needed help was the front valance. Ive been looking for a new one for awhile but couldn't find one, so i just did the best with what i had. I straightened it as much as possible but i wasn't keen on adding any body filler down there. So without body filler in it i still think it looks quite good. The car now sits in the garage to tack off overnight and then tomorrow it will be pulled out and sat in the sun to bake off while i paint the silver trim peices. It should all go back together on friday and cut and polished depending if it has cured. (The blue is a very different colour in person and in the sun than it is on camera)

    And here she goes. Really stoked with the color that was mixed up for me at RJP. They couldn't work off the paint code i had so i got it matched with the under side of the boot lid (Almost the only blue i had left). So after getting it as straight as i could for a beginner paint job i high filled it once and wet sanded with 400. Then high filled it again and wet sanded with 600. I wasn't happy with the finish that i got after that so i redid it and got it to a stage i was happy with. Then i pulled the doors off and got rid of all the surface rust that was beginning to form inside the door sills. I high filled that and sanded it with 600. Then tonight i finally got a coat of paint on them. Very happy with how it came out. Next step is to put the doors back on and wet sand the outside for one last time until i coat it tomorrow.

    Time for paint, after enjoying the car for a good couple of months now it is time to get it back to blue. Today i tore her down and took the front and rear windscreens out.

    Since the sale of my Viva is finally complete i now have the funds to complete the Anglia. Still in the process of deciding what i do intake and fuel wise, but everything else is sorted. Ive gotten the Zetec out of the Mondeo (Parts are still for sale) and while doing so have realized that ill be doing a few gaskets. Its now mated up to the MT75 gearbox i've had sitting for awhile, apparently you can use the starter out of a Sierra and use a 20mm spacer with the Zetec flywheel and thurst-bearing. With that all sitting i trimmed up the stock engine mounts (Soon to be plated) and the bottom of the sump that was un-needed to clear the steering arms. I Cut the tunnel and slipped the motor in. Now comes the task of making engine mounts, gearbox mounts, driveshaft, tunnel and getting all the parts to get it running.

    Sold. The car is going to the British car museum in Hawkes Bay. If anyone happens to see it on its journey up in the next week or when its in the museum feel free to post pictures. Happy to have it going to a good home.

    So after getting it legal i decided that it needed to sit a little bit lower. To do so i sent the rear springs off to Chamberlians (If that is how you spell it) and get them compressed by 52mm (transferring to 65mm at the wheel.) The fronts we were told we could just cut and they would still be captive which was true. it sat a little bit lower but i still would've liked for it to be slightly lower. This is the perfect height as it doesn't rub what so ever and only catches on the front guard corner on the center of the tyre when at a certain angle. heres how it sits: We then took it for a run to ensure it was all going well for the Kaikoura Hop, taking it to the Amberly RocknWheels meet and the Kustom Car Club Breakfast. It preformed amazingly and got alot of attention for being a different and rareish car.

    Finally, its running properly and now its finally legal. Registered and warrented today. Put in last week and it was failed on: - Wheels (to big, although under the gaurd) and tyres stretched on rim (rear) -Front left and right upper balljoints -Fuel Line -Handbrake All really minor stuff that we fixed on the weekend and just borrowed some wheels for the day to get it through. and legal: and finally after getting it home, running the buff over it to get rid of the rust water marks to make it look more presentable. Definaltey noticable in person. Will be going over it again before the Kaikoura Hop. I will now be looking at getting the front Valance painted in the blue and lowering it. If anyone is going to the rocking wheels meet this weekend in Amberly i look forward to seeing you there.

    Exciting day today, but heres the lead up to it: Just a few random photos of driving around the block when it wasnt registered And when it snowed i took it for a wee drive So to get it registered since last time i fixed the brake hose etc and got that all checked out but they couldnt sign it off until the repair cert was done, and the guy doing it decided that they would have surgery the day that i got the rest checked out so i had to wait over the weekend. I got that all signed off today after alot of hassle and stress fro the guys i got at done at, along with a hefty bill for him purely to look at it as we did the repair work. heres the repaired product And today FINALLY after 6months of having the car i got it registered. Beyond excited and youll see me around christchurch for a few weeks unitl it gets a little bit warmer so i can paint it

    The rear tires have been respectfully replaced with some 13inch Tridents. 185's on the back and 175's on the front to stop rubbing. The exhaust pipe has been replaced with a muffler we have lying around, although the whole exhaust system will need replacing at some point as its all rusted. We found the back left rear brake cylinder to be leaking hence the un-balanced breaks, so i bought one from Repco and replaced that. Next on the list is to get a rear break hose made and then wait for the repair certifier to get back I think its justified that they asked me to replace the muffler So now shes parked awaiting her brake hose and cert

    Re-vin didn't quite go as smoothly as i first hoped, although they didn't find the rust in the front left pillar that we repaired they did find a whole lot more! Heres a what they failed me on: But on my way home i proved to a few of my friends that the trusty 1200 could get to 100kmph after some debate hah Ill ring in a few weeks when their repair certifier is back so i can get that all sorted but until then ill do the rest

    Some more paint work progress, Whole car is now in undercoat. This week i will be taking it in for its first Re-Vin inspection. Hopefully on Tuesday. After it is re registered ill be high filling the car and then working on getting it fully repainted in baby blue. Updates to come after its first inspection

    Being honest i bought it for 3 and have spent about a grand on it. so id be happy with $4000 or 3.5ish. And i totally agree. Just trying to cut my loss's. To many projects and to little time
