I would also go 2" if you have the chance to. Also as well as the fuel filler, if you don't already know, the steering shaft needs to extend (I'm not familiar with your setup as to exactly how) and there will be brake lines between body and chassis probably right rear of engine bay. If you're lifting the body with a Jack I'd suggest you do one side at a time, but leave the bolts in the other side loosely so the body doesn't wander off.

He also just said trim a little off the bottom of the fan shroud as it will hit the fan, and the transfer lever may need "adjusting". You might not have that problem with only 1"

Mind you, I don't recommend long shackles as it messes with steering geometry and pinion angles.

Just checked with a mate who had a mwb on 35s. He had 2" springs, 2" shackles with greasable pins & bushes, and 2" body lift.
  5. I saw one of these tonight on the way home in full auzzie police spec livery with roof lights.
  6. I like the shade of red your masking tape is. Maybe just some accents, not a whole pile of red. Like those rocker covers ^

So tell me, how do you get those rear side window frames out?

Nice truck Where did you get the window frames from? Mate had one of these. He took the factory bumper and brackets off the front and mounted an alloy bullbar straight to the pto winch. It made the front shorter and less picnic table.
  9. @Nick Ritchie? Up the straight to camp
  10. 1/3 back from the bellhousing flange left side from memory. It was only a few love taps with a solid rubber mallet, didn't even damage the paint. My engine mounts are very soft though and it touched when they flexed.
  11. I still had to knock mine out a bit though, only a little bit. And the shifter is further back so you need to move the shifter hole back and modify the brace underneath
  12. Have you thought about taking the sleeves off the rear wheels and starting a racing series?
  13. Pile with Pete's name on it Shit I'm not allowed to burn because just inside residential boundary
  14. I know you do, and we spoke about it before. Push shit round to your hearts content, and a shed to park it in. There's actually a pile of earth that needs dozering
  15. We had planted almost 30 eucalyptus in the corner for future firewood and someone had suggested we loosen up the ground first to help the roots get in. So I had gone around with the tractor tynes and made a right mess of it. We've just finished rotary hoeing it including the 4 foot weeds, then rolled it out with one of these rollers. Came up good, I'll get a pic tomorrow if it doesn't rain and I go out there.
  16. Nah doesn't worry me. They cost me $0 (not counting welding) and the mower's going around anyway so might as well stick it on the back. The ground is quite soft too so it might make a difference
  17. Yeah water, makes it 200kg. Was thinking concrete but that would make them 400kg roughly, and that might be a bit much for the poor old rideons. The ground is lumpy af, so I figured they wouldn't do any harm. Will have to see after a few mows if it makes a difference. I did make some stripes on the better part of the grass. What could I put in them heavier than water, lighter than concrete?
