  1. might be too late for flat spots, how long they been sitting ? there is a technique to get rid of them with tyre pressures and driving, but its not exactly the safest lol skids wont fix flat spots
  2. looking good im really starting to like this thing, even with the piston engine, looks very well alot of hard work and shows
  3. its probably missing some rollers or ball bearings, ? grease works well too do rx7 FD rails fit ? or even a piston mazda cars, 323, 626 etc, newer the better i fit fc rails to fb's as they are newer and not as ted
  4. yeah i wouldnt import a car from uk/ireland lol surface rust is bad, as it goes deeper than than it looks
  5. yeah just a wee one, my uk ones are just scrappers for some craic, but me jap import ones are good condition have to get my pictures of my series 3 up, wowzer no, they all rotted away probably 5-10 years after they came out, early rotors, once engine died, car died, my experience, not a real market for them here tbh, to different for here lol having the rotary engine, to scared of them climate/weather/salted roads just kills cars here, only takes 3-4 years then underneath is krusty as, also the condensation is bad, so they rust from the inside out, early rx8's are eeeek with rust heard shocking stories about the old rx2/rx3's here, make you cry lol ive found a few, but only a handful, be more in england/uk, but todate, not many have survived there also, but last few years a few rx2/rx3/rx4's have popped up, there is a kiwi down south ireland, he brought his nz rx3 coupe over here
  6. link - cheers looks good, looking forward to update 13B PP, nice any pics of it when it was green ?
  7. build link gloss black, man your keen as lol
  8. cheers for pics, the front is alot different to the B1600, this has some character to it this has more detail around the lights and grille more truck looking Q - does the bonnet open forward like FB rx7 ? Q - whats your plans for a colour for paint job ? two tone maybe ? once youve done this one, maybe pick up another one for a rotary conversion lol
  9. wow, very cool, anymore pictures of it when you bought it, frontal, side, birds eye etc love the daily driver idea, ive always wanted a b series for a daily work hack oil - you mean fish oil ? or just engine oil ? i know of fish oil and there is a wax type stuff you put in doors/chassis rails etc looking forward to updates and pictures clicked - follow this topic
  10. yes, series 4 rx7 alternators are internal fan
  11. sorry didnt read whole thread, about diesels couldnt be bothered lol so dont know if this has been said/done, if it has the injector bleed offs, ie little hoses with T connectors, check them i had a diesel once, hard to start in mornings, got harder, found the T pipes broken and hoses perished, letting the fuel drain back to tank so had to use ether to get going, replaced T pieces and hoses, bamm, started no bother from then on also another common fault injector seals
  12. hmmm, my experience, internal regulated alts have a 2 pin, one for 12V ignition and other for dash light its in a T format connector you can actually see it on the back there in the picture then there is the battery wire which goes to the threaded stud with a nut on it, with the red plastic housing shame its polished, as there should be the mitsubishi part number on them, sometimes it engraved other times its a sticker if you could have found that, then with some research you could have found what cars/models it would be on there is usually 2 part numbers if mazda alt - mazda part number and the mitsubishi part number - which can easily tell you what it is off etc any part numers below the mitsubishi symbol on the round part on back of alternator ? check to see what numbers you can see even part of a part numbers etc if no numbers on it, only thing to do would be get against something until it looks the same sorry with out part numbers i cant be any more help you could try going to an auto electrical place that does alternators and starters etc, they maybe able to help you get the same, or something different that would do
  13. very nice car lad all the best with her seats - look like series 4 FC seats
  14. sorry dont know about the piston mazda alts much, but the rotary ones, just bolt straight on between external 4 pin and internal 2 pin, so id imagine it should be the same for piston engine id just fit the nice shiny alternator if it fits fine and is internal regulated why waste time/ money when you have one im trying to think what later model cars would be good, is the rotary alternators any good ? im sure someone here close to you could lend you one for a day to check ? otherwise, what about the E and B series mazdas, or 323/626 ?
  15. yeah, i knew you were after one, so thought id play along KFC tastes better though lol yeah its the most common thing to say, rotaries are unreliable, you should hear the shitte they talk in northern ireland, muppets lol the northern ireland forums are a crack up like
  16. yeah, the famous rotary dig lol stirring much lol i dont really have a reliability issue with them myself pretty reliable for a sports/performance car me thinks when you take it all into consideration but ive blew a few engines due to sillyness, lots of diffs, few gearboxes ha ha, they do take some serious abuse though, which has to be admitted in court lol each to their own though lol
  17. who told you that ? its not true, i will deny lol i like anything/car with a rotary engine any r100,rx2/rx3/rx4/rx5/rx7/rx8/cosmo etc and any mazda with a rotary engine i go to Rotaholic Anonymous meetings every weekend just cant get rid of the addiction lol i am a Rotaholic im a ford/mazda man really, old cortina's mk1/2, grew up around old cars, ford, valiant, chrysler, dodge etc 6 cyl/V8 etc but like anything old school, and new, like all makes of cars that have character credit where credits due, whatever spins your wheels

  19. some more pictures a line up of my series 2, series 5 and series 6 her at a car show with decs series 5 and charlies series 7 outside my own work
  20. some sad pictures of her after all the work id done, took her out for a road test as was going to a car show the next day, hadnt driven her in ages and a twat drove into the back of me, wrote her off, but i got her back and fixed her up had to use a series 3 petrol tank as couldnt find a non rusty/holey series 2, had to redo the exhaust as was well bent man was i peevedoff to say the least, not easy keeping an old rare car on the road in uk, replacement parts arent accessible and insurance companies dont care a hoot
  21. me RX7 - FC - Series 4 - 13BT well this was the newest car id bought/owned, when i was 23 paid 8k for it back in 98/99 it was my work hack yeah seriously, it was a stocker, but had an LSD and a 13BT, my first turbo RX, uh huh lost it a few times being young and silly lol so the modifying bug hit, and more power, even though couldnt control what i had lol, big step from a 12A carb friend blew his engine in his series 4 turbo, had a re amemiya exhaust, 3" so bought that , put that on, had to weld a few patches on her as few rust holes but sounded good and went even better, then 17" momo/motoform ? circs ? i liked them, had to hide them from the olds for a bit lol young and all had some serious craic in that thing, rear tyres every weekend, man i couldnt stop doing donuts with the LSD and 3 point turns was made very easy lol wish i had an LSD alot earlier on when i got my first car standard clutch didnt last too long, so in went the 4 puk clutch, man that was nice, popeye left leg had it recod a few times lol, but it sure did its job then after awhile got the death rattle, off the clock down motorway, all the dash lights just came on, no power had to get towed home, as just flat lined when cranked over, no compression front or rear rotors, ooops so engine repair required, so a mate, matt built me an engine, new parts all round and a stage II whilst at it so put that in, as original engine, think i only got the stat gears outta it, twas that bad, but had to be at the revs and speed it went pop then, upgraded the fuel system, bosch pump and bosch race regulator, then x4 extra series 4 injectors with a link extra injector controller, extra fuel line, external wastegate, man did i love that, got addicted after nyle had one on his series 1 13BT nyle helped me out heeps and done the wastegate mod to the exhaust manifold and recod my turbo with a to4 inlet wheel (good spud nyle, had a few rotors himself, white series 1 13BT and the purple rx2 coupe, man they smoked the tyres ) i was external happy after that lol, scared a few people as was very loud, as open to atomsphere cant remember what else i done to the thing, but after this, man it went really really well, had some good races went through even more tyres lol had to upgrade the front brakes, as didnt stop as well as it went then got addicted to slapping 2nd, well went through a few gearboxes as 2nd gear sorta went, didnt find out the cause took it for a few drag races at mere mere, got the drag racing addiction too lol i'll dig out a few pictures of her, was a very good car, FC's seem to get underestimated for some reason, but great craic discussion thread - //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/44328-rotor-dude-mazda-cars-discussion/
