Cant find how to edit my signature on this stupid mobile version so cant do anything there.
I'm keeping the bodykit as its incredibly rare and putting it on my project 360. I have another one which i' going to cut which ever way i dont cut this one. I've also got a link on yet another one to cut up, so i'm thinking firewall camping trailer, B pillar tool box/storage and maybe a ute?

But seriously though, the old girl is on 17's with a top tailgate spoiler.
No engine in it yet. I have an 83 760 with a forged B23ET sitting at home ready to go in. Got a plug & play loom in from england so i can run a new OS. Next is to get the flywheel machined and re-drilled, then get the clutch kit in from england.
Then progress can really begin.

So about a year ago i picked up this 360GLT for 1k no wof/reg. BUT. It has one special addition. A full genuine bodykit. Between me and my grandfather, who has been in the volvo game for over 50 years, its one of 3 known to us in NZ.
The plan was for a full restoration, but upon wof inspection, its almost as much rust as metal and bent chassis rails from people jacking up off them. So now the bodykit is coming off, and the car is destined, to become, a trailer.
The question is everyone, do i cut it at the B pillar or firewall? Whats everyones opinions?

Regarding that 360, I've been eyeing it up and have been in touch with the council parking authority or whatever they're called. Hopefully I can have it. Can someone post up when it disappears please?

That's because these good old redblock volvos just don't die. Usually the car will rust around the drive train.

She looks a very nice whale. Volvo wagons , except for the 2L 10 valve 850s, are amazing work horses, and the red blocks just won't die either. If your on Facebook look up Volvo Marketplace (nz). There's a few 240 people who would be quite interested in this little project.

Few mates an I had a Honda city and a Nissan sentra. We would play cops and rotor erst and hide & seek through Mount maunganui. Both were 300 buck throw away cars so we would hide down alleyways in the city and push each other out of car parks. Little cars like the city and the old charades are so fun I totally agree.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if a DeTomaso charade is too new for this crowd? I know of one being parted and it would be shame to see all the kit and everything go to waste.

If your worried about swarf a magnet pen in there for a while moving around perhaps? Alternatively a new head isn't an overly big or expensive job.

So I was told I should update this thing, and judging by my last update was 11 months ago, it's probably not a stupid idea. So progress has been VERRRRYYÝYY slow, as I've 3 jobs and selling volvo parts too, all of which keeps my busy, and tired.
So I've finally got an engine stand yesterday, and put my B234 block up on it. Today I shall start pulling it down to inspect it, make sure she's alright. Once it's reassembled best it can be, I'll do the same with the dohc head.
So in short I'm building (at this stage) a 2.3L twin cam twin turbo 360, hopefully good for around 25-270 hp, that's my goal for now anyway. Just as long as it has more power than the 850R basically lol. 240 horse is fine on a fwd with lsd. Put the bitch in sport in second, put your foot in it and watch your tyres disintegrate, but that power in a small (ish) 50/50 weighted car??
Body wise nothings happened. Except it's got a mk 1 golf front lip and Is now on black 17s with a chrome lip, rather than the old 16s (I've 4 sets of wheels, so they change every now and then) I have decided on metallic white, heavy on the flake, which my uncle is gonna do. He also told me of a way to ditch the intercooler, so no lag, and have the intake air cooler than an intercooler would make it anyway, so that's my little secret ;P
Anyway will update again once there's some more serious engine updates or I start the wiring. Should be fun
PS. I don't know how to upload photos off my cell, so once I can figure away I'll do pictures
