Is there a cut off date?
keen, but about to spend all my money on building. Will see what junk i can sell off in shed for pocket money.
Will you ride the gn down?
-
I almost bought a gn250 the other week but I'm not buying anymore projects

Just bore and stroke it to 200cc tho, hot camshaft, a cheaply NO2 kit
Laughing
It's a bit of a pain to get a big bore on these engines due to the crank case, one could do a bit of welding and machining to get a bigger bore in it

The super turbo amr500s have a wee pop valve on the plastic manifold. What I'm getting at here is run it full tilt, and just bleed the extra boost off with a comedic blow off valve
That just increases the parasitic load on the engine, blower needs to be operating at the correct speed

Problem with using a smog pump is they dont like fuel being drawn through them so would have to run blow through or fit efi
-
Does it matter how slow you spin the blower? If it was dropped down to 1/3 crank speed it wouldnt make too much boost

Amr300, or smog pump
Would an amr300 be too big for a 125cc?
Is there any particular smog pump? Those vw mini roots blowers are expensive and rare

convert turbo to a super charger
It would need a gearbox on it to get the shaft speed upto 150k rpm

@RUNAMUCK how can I fit more atmospheres into my 125cc engine?

Its a slippy slope, trying to figure out how to get more ccs into my 125, might have to look into some barometric compensation
-
Can you use the dr crank?

to me it doesnt look like you can do that without then having to do some serious rebalance?
can apparently go up to 9mm offset but i dont know what different rod and piston they use (probably better cos you can get a better rod with more piston choice)
but with a suzuki parts bin rod you can just use the existing parts with a 5mm offset.
could have a plug put in and drill a new hole 5mm lower i guess
Just bolt that dr200 engine in

Who do i talk to about an offset crank pin. doubtful to find one on a shelf somewhere
just want 5mm offset thanks
I dont know how much it would cost but the guy I use for when stuff for work needs machining said it would be a piece of piss to make one

Oh they look sweet! Although my slight ocd leanings means I cannot ever accept mismatched wheels front to back. Have you got a full set of the 5 spokes (that you want to sell to us?...)
Wouldnt the ocd be more suited to the 4 spokes so the bolt hole numbers match?

I'd rather the r36, never been a fan of the b6/7 s4. B5s are better or a later b8 but are more expensive

Yx140 at full tap for more than 5 mins vibrates enough to induce brown note symptoms
Does it have rim locks? My xr only had one per wheel and vibrated like crazy at anything over 70k, i balanced them out with stick on wheel weights on the inside of the rim under the rim tape
