Next question is who would stock a rebuild kit in nz?
They are pretty cheap online, so maybe out of aus with fast shipping would be ok
Any of the diesel repair shops like diesel services should have them on the shelf. Is it a turbo one? Ive got a couple of spare pumps if you want to just replace the seals on them and just swap it over

I have zero experience with dez but from what I have seen I think I can throw a seal kit at an L300s injection pump.
(I think there's one seal that tends to be the one that leaks)
Can anyone point me towards some info on stripping and reassembling?
Removing looks straight forward enough, would I get away with marking the housing to put it back in time?
I've got a dti and adapters to fit the pump to set timing correctly. I can show you how if you want, might as well do the cambelt while you are at it

You can put a bit of clear tube in the return and see if you are getting any air bubbles but wont identify exactly where its pulling air from.
I really wish I still had my 300tdi disco, such a great engine, good power and so fuel efficient compared to this pile of crap 4d56t im driving at the moment

So if I was to climb a disused power pole half in the bush to swipe a disused 1960s street light what would be the chances of being spotted?

Out of interest, when these things are drag raced (reasonably) seriously - say into the nines or tens ... what sort of auto trans is used behind the barra?
The ones I've seen on YouTube in oz are running power glides and th400, they also run the zf 6 speed with upgrades

its a 16mm shaft, which is weird because i thought it would have been imperial. but 16mm bearings arnt very common
Not a 5/8" shaft? Pretty close to 16mm

I just picked this up for a mate, he paid 3500 for it, it's a 2004 a3 3.2 vr6, 250hp, dsg, awd, same car as a golf r32. Goes hard for what it is.

Motorcycle related, but i have a bike that to my knowledge has never been on the road, (and has no lights) but it has a vin number
would i go as far as to assume that means it can be rego'd? There were road/homologated going options of them, i guess there were/are some in nz not sure
Is it a vtnz vin number?

How do you get it back together without the tool though?
Assembly is the reverse of disassembly

It will be minutes and alot less money if you put a Lifan in it
The atc engine is ready to go, it's just all the other bits to fix/paint and put back together

Yeah sorry s80 t6 is what I'm thinking of, didn't think derps were still putting inline 6s in a transverse setup in the late 90s/early 2000s. Just looked it up then, shits whack.
All I remember Is a dude I know had one a few years back and was pretty nippy, he scored it for like 2k or something.
It's a compact and well designed engine, although the vr6 beats it for compactness

Is there any way to avoid having to fit driveshaft hoops on my land rover if I turbo it? The factory turbo diesel engines had the same driveshafts, just really want to avoid drilling holes in a galv chassis
