Don't even bother with old boomer bart, he's the standard, "I bought a shit tredia once, so all mitsubishi are shit, herp derp"
Leaves more cheap, reliable motoring for the rest of us.
I'm worried I'm heading down a mitsi barry hole

And the moral of the story is,
Mitsubishi are all steaming piles of shit. If you buy one, be prepared for misery. (Even after you sell it)
I've had nothing but joy from the few mitsubishis I've had

Any old jap diesel 4wd I buy I just assume the head is going to be fucked as its so common and if its not thats just a bonus. A brand new head with gaskets and bolts from kiwi cylinder heads is pretty cheap, last 4d56 I did was $510

Any suggestions for muffler suppliers in AK?
Not in Auckland but adrenalin r mufflers are great quality and can make something to suite as well

When I did an exhaust on my v8 audi I found it easier to tuck 2 pipes up in the tunnel than 1 bigger pipe, I ran 2 2.5" pipes with a x behind the gearbox and down into a 3.5" single with a large adrenalin r muffler

I'm currently selling my gen 1 pajero, it's 32 years old and has 315,000km on the clock and get all these dumb pieces of shit messaging me wanting a mint car and to offer half of what you want.
Just tell the cunt to get fucked and leave it at that.

Spotted this today on the side of the road near Rai valley. Then later in nelson I drove past it again- this time holding up all the traffic at a busy roundabout because broken down. I walked back for pics and spoke to the owner- an axle had locked up and they couldn't even push it out of the way.
Landy barrys - is this ex-army? I've never seen one before.
The guy that built it lived in napier, he converted it to 6x6 and its running a toyota 1kd from memory. Hes been around the world in it

Not knowing fuck all about these, are they injected? Did any of them have cruise control, or were they too early and in the wrong target market for things like that?
You could fit an aftermarket cruise control. Non dbw cruise control is a bit aids, all g on a flat Rd but with some hills and a gutless engine it gets annoying

This is timely. I need to deck out the entire interior of my commer van. I used dynamat on the engine lid and surrounds and it did stuff all. So I'm fine with using a cheaper alternative.
Has anybody tried this stuff? This stuff is spenny but works mint, I have it on the inside of the cover for my boats engine and you can hardly hear it

Whats the motor height like? Water should just be touching the bottom of the cavitation plate while under way

Small boats are the best, I had a 3.3m rib with a 9.9hp Johnson and it would plane easily with 2 115kg guys in, chilly bin ect and cost next to nothing to run

@M.H. sorry, it's in the standard not in the info sheet
Was the aussie built one ever made with a turbo on it on that particular engine?
Most of the turbo ones were 6x6 but they did do a couple of turbo 4x4s

I dailyed a xr250 for a while, it was all good apart from the fact I'm a fat cunt and 250cc didn't quite cut it, a 400 would have been mint. I was riding 35km from the top of the bombays to otahuhu, was easy to split traffic on being up high, narrow and very manoeuvrable

There is an exemption for diesels with turbos fitted if you meet the requirements of the lvvta info sheet 07-2016
From memory can only be exempted if its mechanically injected and uses a OE turbo off a factory turbo version
Mines a little bit different in that its an ex Australian army one in which they were built by land rover Australia with 3.9l isuzu diesels, what kind of proof would be needed to satisfy this part?
QuoteIn the case of a vehicle which has had a bolt-in OEM (original equipment manufacturer) model variant engine
or transmission conversion, or a bolt-in OEM model variant turbocharger/supercharger addition, a driveshaft safety-loop is not required provided that documented proof is provided by the vehicle manufacturer or
their agent, verifying that all drive-shaft components are identical between the two vehicles, and that the
drive-shaft remains unmodified.
