  1. same set-up as GT4, but different ratios are the 2 versions of 4WD carib. need Raghead to join up as he obsessed, but 1600 and 1800 are different, unsure if transfer ratios the same. pre-ABS models have lockable centre/transfer.

  3. best get the Raghead to sign up as a member, and not a lurker. he has stock of some very absorbant material for wiping up the foam, and the dribble from both sides of Simpson's mouth !!

  7. 2 years i believe, may have been one . work had a import petrol Navara that needing re-compliance due to the timeline, but the regs had change between compliance tests and needed a 'sniffer' jammed up it's bum........had to lean it to the point of melting plugs and pinging to pass !!

  9. a crimped lug attached to frame of panel, and/or the roof/ground ali mounting frame (often sandwiched) to a cable to a driven earth stake, i could be wrong, but the charge controller is earthed to same stake........... if am wrong about coupling the panel and controller earths.... best some tell me, at that is how i was told to do it
  10. usually panels/frame and charge controller are earthed
  11. not forgetting either the time allocated for arguments/Barrying at both WOF inspection and potentially re-checks
  12. if Class EB exemption still valid, remains valid at change of ownership. if not on hold, you may have to 'back-pay' to get EB updated

  16. simply remove ceramic 10A fuse and fit 15A MCB for welding duties
  17. was advised that start-up could be as much as 9X rated power, so may go petrol re-power as long powercords are an arse .
  18. has a query. re-mounting tidying up my concrete mixer, current motor 1/4Hp 1425rpm, non-cap.start....... will not run on 1000w continuous invertor if i replace this motor with 1/2Hp twin cap start....... will the capacitors allow the invertor to run it ?
  19. was there a decent turn out for this event ? went for a quick squizz at the Muster in G-Town, had a decent display for a new event... 200-ish car they reckon, but only the Ford Cortina Club had a decent club dislplay

  21. coil-over should be located on top of diff and into upper spring perch. the very parts designed to take the vehicle load
  22. TGP were, by far, the cheapest for son's Surf, but ex-Japan. eventhough it is a LN106 with wagon body, BNT/Repco/local brake shop had none in local stock either
